  1. The new hood is painted and turned out ok, it's not fully cured yet, and , looks much better 1:1
  2. I have one I think from Detail Master, yours looks just as effective.
  3. Very nice work, incredible!
  4. Looks really good, nice work!
  5. Very cool Eric, the cabriolet looks really good.
  6. I see what you're saying JC, but , I think it looks fine. How did you make it?
  7. I love to paint, so , I can understand where you're coming from, paint on my friend! I agree with Dave, the Impala and the '57 wagon are stunning.
  8. I was thinking the same thing, with the black, yellow and chrome you don't need the blue. This thing is going to be dynamic to say the least, should be beautiful Ray. What yellow is that? It looks very similar to MM Daytona Yellow. Whatever yellow it is, it looks just great on that car.
  9. Ray, this is going to look really cool! Have you decided on the glass yet?
  10. Wow Derrick, that interior weathering is some of the best I've ever seen, great job! Will be checking your progress.
  11. X2! Not bad for a 'couple' of evenings work In fact it looks incredible. Love the stance too, looks mean and ready for bizness.
  12. Thanks Hugh, I think I'm about to ready this car for shipment, so , I'll just leave the one side with no livery, (I can't believe I'm saying that!). I like your signature!
  13. Thanks Ray, i think I'm just gonna button this thing up and move on, it's still a nice looking model the way it is. I wanna start a fresh build, thinking about doing a Cobra! I have two Cobra kits; the Monogram Essex Wire, and , the Revell USRRC 427 Cobra limited edition kit, which one would you recommend? I'll post pics of the Mustang after it's finished, should be able to put the red on the new hood tomorrow, or , Saturday.
  14. I have a dilemma, the livery on the passenger side looks fine, but , the drivers side (which was first) was a disaster, and , resulted in minor 'finish' damage (some of the decal sticky would 'not' come off) which got worse when I tried to repair it, by using 'polish' (not wax) to remove it, (cove lines on door showing a little primer). Then I started thinking " I'll just leave one side with no livery " with this in mind I then proceeded to 'wax' the drivers side to clean up finger prints etc,. There's no way at this point in the build that I'm going to try and fix the problem with the cove lines showing some white from the polish, too many things could go wrong and I ruin the whole body, not going there. So I either find something to effectively clean off the wax and apply the livery, or , I leave it plain.
  15. Looking good Ray, this thing will 'really' pop in yellow with all the black accents. Ray, I just noticed, looks like you painted the rear wheel spokes? Looks very cool if that's the case. Bring on the yellow! Are you gonna use clear, or , blue glass?
  16. Ya, she's sittin' pretty low and narrow in the rear, front looks fine from this shot Kevin.
  17. Looking good Matt. Are the instrument bezels on the dash painted with chrome?
  18. Looks great JC, what's next?
  19. Great job on a beautiful car James! Really looks good. What color/paint did you use?
  20. Looking good Ray, have you put the seats you're planning on using in the tub and put the body on to see how things scale up?
  21. Sounds good Kevin, It's AWB Mustang Madness! I missed my opportunity to see what the gray would look like 'cause I used white primer, which is what I used on the body. Maybe Ray will put a black hood on the yellow one he's doing?
  22. lol, you are so right JC! You 'have' me fooled. I just now looked at the photos again and it 'still' looks like chrome, wow. Carry on.
  23. Yellow should work well on this car Ray! Very dramatic.
  24. So it just gives the illusion of chrome? Or, are the bezels supposed to be white? 'Cause it sure looked like chrome in my minds eye. Good job! you know that '29 roadster i recently did? there are a few small places on the front end chrome where white showed from clean up sanding etc,. I was going to touch them up but the places that I did touch up with MM Chrome Silver were more visible than the places I just left white! You can't see them unless you know 'exactly' where there are, cool little trick.
  25. Thanks Ray, I've got the first coat of primer on the hood now, (I stole the hood from another one of these kits I have) there are still a few minor clean up issues, but , the plan at this point is to paint it red. With the color scheme I have a satin/matt black hood would look cool though. There's so many ways these cars can look cool.
