  1. Lookin' good my brutha!!
  2. Welcome aboard John! Glad to have you here. You've definitely got some skills after seeing all those builds pal. See ya round..........
  3. Thank you so very much for poppin' in Francis!! Actually , Tamiya is among the easiest aircraft kits out there to build and have outstanding detail right out of the box. Sometimes they get a few details wrong but that can be side stepped pretty easily. As far as aftermarket stuff goes .....a good Aires set ALWAYS help bring out the best in these builds.
  4. This looks very good indeed Marcos!! Looks like it's all gathering some good steam!
  5. Thanks Rusty. Sure man. I'll take some shots and post 'em up. And you're right.....the Tamiya parts weren't bad....but the Aires just blows the OOB parts away.
  6. WOW!!! That looks great Dave!! Hope you found your modeling mojo back bud. Looking forward to more of your work.
  7. Folks it just doesn't get much better than that. Excellent build in every sense of the word Tom.
  8. Ok gang...I've been working on this aircraft all friggin' week now. I've been busy getting rid of the interior detail/ ribbing from the inside of both halves of the fuselage in order to fit the AM pieces in here. After accomplishing that and test fitting it's looking pretty good from about every angle so far. Details removed: The interior tub, side panels and rear wall of the gear bay fit well. I fitted the original rear wall in place to see how high it sat above the fuselage to ensure a proper wing fit to the fuselage. Here's the stock / OOB height: and the height with the Aires AM piece fitted in. Looks good from here: So.....I tried my luck with the wing test fit. I think I'm good here:
  9. Can't wait to see that one on the bench Bob!!
  10. Thanks Bob!! There were times that a last flight into the trash can was a definite option. lol
  11. Thank you Chris, Roger and Tony! I really appreciate you guys stopping in and commenting. Tony: I used Badger's Stynylrez Gray Primer for the gray portion and Stynylrez Black Primer for the Black portion. After that I used a Prismacolor Silver lead pencil and drug it lightly across the raised details.
  12. I've got a few of those kinds of builds that I planned everything out for and then out of the blue I selected a total different build in its place. I've got a 79 Mustang that I REALLY want to build into a 460 car. Got the custom decals, the resin 460 and all that stuff for it too. I think I just talked myself into building it for my next build.
  13. I'm actually kinda glad that I can't build that fast. I'd run out of display space just that much quicker. lol
  14. It's a very rare occasion when I see one of these built and this one turned out great for a fun build.
  15. Thanks Larry! 'Preciate it Gerald!! Thank you Chris!! Thanks Don. I was already a Maverick fan before the build but the more I researched the Mavericks the more I liked them. Thanks Mike. Good to see you man. Thank you Misha. I hope not to disappoint. lol Thanks for the good comments Dave!
  16. Totally missed this one Tim!! Man that turned out a beauty. Really impressive!!!
  17. WOW!!! I REALLY like that "T". You just gave me an idea for one of my builds.
  18. I really like that stock 66 GT Rich! That thing looks fabulous!!
