  2. Welcome to the finest forums available Bob.I look forward to reading your posts based on your unique perspective. I also started modeling in '57,my freshman year in high school.I remember using plastic wood for custom body work and a pairing knife heated over a candle to open doors.Nice to have you on board.
  3. I am wondering if any other modelers on vacation in the Myrtle Beach, this week.
  4. A very impressive "body" of work converting that out of scale version into something beautiful. The dedication involved in re-scaling alone had to be a monumental task.

  13. I think it's a shame that more of the vehicles from that decade are not available to builders.I am probably prejudiced there as I was born in '42.As a result of the war there are probably fewer surviving vehicles from that decade that any other in history.Goof luck with your build,I'll be following along.
  14. I was not able to access those photos.
  15. Ace,I found the image I needed, printed it out and have it pinned to my bulletin board at my work bench as reference.I also spotted another photo with an oil fill pipe on the L.H.side of the engine that goes directly into the oil pan and already added that to mine.I just finished a '25 Model T beach racing speedster and will share photos of it with you if you'll PM me your email address. Thanks again......Tom
  16. Thanks Bill,I saw those same pix but just didn't know what the mag was.Now I suppose I really should scratch build that whole coolant drive system....darn it....this was supposed to be a quick and uncomplicated build! Oh well, looks like over-complication-itis strikes again.
  17. I am looking for some wiring info on the Frontenac overhead cam Ford engines. There area lot of photos on the net that show the plug locations on the engine but nothing I can find on where the distributor is located for how it is driven.
  18. Good choice Kerry.I love the fact that you're building a vehicle from the '40's instead of a more modern vehicle. Thanks for sharing!
  19. I want to build a rig similar to Scott's starting with a Flintstone chopped cab in resin. My reservation is that I know less than nothing about those engines. Was there ever a build thread on Scott's truck that I can see that would have photos?
  20. Welcome on board David,Be prepared to see some amazing stuff here.I am constantlyamazed by the skills and imagination seen here and I've been building for almost 60 years.

  23. Welcome to the forums Gary. What do you prefer to build?
  24. I notice you have a gas fill tube and cap on the driver's side of the bed.Be sure to follow through by continuing the fill tube inside the bed and route it to sort sort of fuel tank.Just a couple suggestions for an old hot rod builder.
