  1. Mmmm.... Vaquero interior... my favorite right next to good ol canyon red 85 GT guts
  2. I noticed before that once you click on a header to go to, you cant click on another header. You have to go home, then click on where you want to go next. Once you figure that out you're fine. For instance, If I am at the home page, and I click parts, from parts it wont let me click on kits. But if I click home, then I can click kits. I think that might be what some folks complain about.
  3. I got mine!
  4. Thank you. James and I have traded back and forth many times over the past few months. He's good people.
  5. I had a few good times in my '94 Mustang GT. It's mostly stock with a lot of miles but fun. I live in the country so I'm used to flinging it around corners. I really enjoy that. I have drag raced it (not professionally but just at test n tunes) I have also street raced it on 2 occasions. Stomped a Cobalt SS, and a 95-ish Z28 Camaro.
  6. It's possible but the tag on the shelf said 23 t panel delivery. Part number amt860
  7. I went there after work to check for new releases.... Now I haven't seen any news on this but it looks like we're getting the AMT '23 Model T panel van, and the AMT '71 Thunderbird. And of course the long awaited Revell 29 roadster. But I thought it was cool about the panel van and thunderbird as I had not heard anything about them coming out. Last I saw the 23 panel van was an online exclusive.
  8. I build a simple old monogram 70s/80s muscle car. Low parts count, not super detailed, and easy to build. I don't wire the distributor or go crazy with detailing. Just nice paint and interior, and maybe even some BMF. But thats about it. that seems to get me back in the mood to go at it.
  9. I've found myself recently interested in all the different Ed Roth cars... I have Tweedy Pie and Outlaw so far. I plan to get his truck and '57 Chevy. But what else is out there that he made and has been reproduced in kit form?
  10. Thats usually one of those things that results in my lopping my finger open lol
  11. SWEET! there's a RPP hobby shop not far from my work
  12. Beautiful so far! I've been tempted to get that body as well... but I don't have enough chassis/interiors to make more than 2 shoebox fords!
  13. Thanks! and thanks for the tip as well, I may just do that!
  14. Working on my new project now. It's the recent round 2 release of AMT's '36 Ford multi-top kit. I wish a chopped 5 window roof was available but this 3 window will do. I will be going with the chrome reverse wheels and whitewalls. I am thinking this will be the one I finally paint honduras maroon and flat clear. Can't decide on 1 spotlight or 2 also. I noticed while putting the top on it that the drivers side part of the cowl on the body didnt line up w/ the cowl on the roof section. I didnt like that. I also noticed that when you glue the roof on that the beltline looked sucked in. I didnt like that either. So first thing first I glued the roof on after some filing and tweaking and got it to where it was as good as I could get it. I did this in order to keep the firewall in place for the next step. Next I sliced the firewall from the body and stuffed some .020 evergreen strips between the body and the firewall and made the belt line look a lot better with the roof sitting on it. Next I filed down the front of the body cowl area that didnt line up with the roof cowl area on both sides (drivers side was way worse) So since I had to take away from the body, I had to add to the hood sides. Filed that down and it looks pretty good... But last time I built the 5 window unchopped coupe as a kid I remember not being able to take the hoodsides off with the hood... because of how they fit together... can I glue the hood sides to the hood and still get everything off once its built? for perhaps if I'm at a show and want to remove the hood?
  15. Started this one about 2 weeks ago. It's a commission build for a friend. He had an '01 GT that was True Blue and he had wrecked it and had a 99-01 Cobra nose put on it. Then road raced it for a time before he sold it. He had Bullitt wheels on it for a while too. Closest thing I could find was the 22" Pegasus wheels. Painted the centers Model Masters Anthracite and painted the car Duplicolor Ford True Blue. LOTS of massaging to get the wheels to fit and look halfway decent. Even recreated his old Ohio custom plate he had for it. I also used pieces of old rabbit ear antennas to make the exhaust tips. Enjoy and let me know what you think
  16. I went to my first model club meeting yesterday too. it was pretty neat. I went to the Cincinnati Auto Replicas meet.
  17. That's the first thing I said when I saw this too! I thought wow what a mash up
  18. Got this in the mail. It's old school. Never seen a 2 pack like this before and it had a hot rod and mustang so I was all for it.
  19. What is a "zipper"?
  20. Looking great! What is that top color!? I apologize if I've overlooked it. I picked up this kit a few weeks ago out of impulse... Not sure what I want to do with mine yet.
  21. You turned a wreck into a beautiful car! Great work
  22. You gotta have the massive throttle return spring! It's for those snap revs! Haha
  23. I'm hesitant to jump right now. I have 7 on my laptop and I love it. I also use 7 at work too. My desktop at home however has 8 and I spend very little time on it. Very little time. I'll be watching youtube videos on it before I jump
  24. Love it! I'd love to have a nice hot rodded old truck like that to build
  25. Most of these old annual kits from the late 50s & early 60s never depicted the actual model on the box. They were just a generic box for all of the kits with a sticker on the side depicting what was inside. Steve I wonder if they made a 2 door contenental/Mark in the body style of the one the OP is building?
