I'm loving all this work Bill

Thanks for info guys. Here's some pics of the kit I bought and I see what you mean about the poor fitment of the front fenders. Luckily I've got an old Amt Nova that will help with the restoration. Does any body have an extra headlamp and an instruction sheet?

Hi guys, just bought this builder off eBay and was wondering what year it represents - 70, 71 or 72? Thank you

Bill, I think there is a set of resin bumpers, headlamps and grille on eBay
-
John, weren't those wheel covers available in resin at sometime? I'm sure I saw a set on one of Paul Hetticks Mopar builds

Thanks for feedback guys

Thank you Mark

Hi, I'm trying to work out which of these kits is the closest to the original issue Mpc 72 Chevelle pls? From what I understand, the most recent issue Amt kit(red box art car), is a back dated 70 model and there are some accuracy issues with the grille and headlamps. As far as the other 3 go I am unsure

Great build Randy

Awesome build - well done. I've also got a 72 on my to do list using the Mpc 71 reissue and some parts from Missing Link and Modelhaus.

Al I've just ordered off his website - I'll let you know how it goes. If I recall correctly I did email him via eBay and did get a reply but it did take a few days

I'm a builder who behaves like a collector hahaha in all honesty though I have every intention of building all my kits, no matter how rare, even though at my current build rate it will never happen

Awesome build - love the subject matter

That is too cool -
My first attempt at making an exhaust system would have been incorrect for this base Satellite. So here goes my second attempt. I'm still trying to figure out the best way to make the collector for the front y pipe.

As this going to be a base model it's going to have a single exhaust system - so time to blank off the rear valance cut outs. While I was at it I added a styrene strip on the rear to help locate valance during final installation
