What Did You Accomplish Today? (Model Car Work)
br67 replied to Snake45's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Dual quad Chev BB intakes don't seem to be too popular in scale. So built one out of a tunnel ram. Still needs some final cleaning up -
Really nice build Thomas

Received this eBay purchase few days ago. Quite a clean build and easy to disassemble as chassis wasn't glued in. Unfortunately rear wheel arches hacked slightly but I should have a solution to that issue. I'm considering doing this as a Nickey Stage III inspired car but am battling to find info on the '69 Nickey cars as they seem not to have built too many.

Have been wondering for a while how you improve door panel pleating - thanks for the great tutorial

Sometimes builder kits are more "glue" than "bomb". Got this off eBay recently and looked better in the pics. So I think I'll combine it with an Amt 67 Gt350 and build into a 289 powered GT

I sent him a message on FB messenger a few months ago about the wheels and never got a response

Fantastic work JC. There is a similar one in 1:1 that is still campaigned at the local race track. For interest sake how did you make that black collector for the header?

Would love to see that Mustang with correct grille, those wheel covers and a decent 351C engine

I thought this was a good score. Got all the important bits to build it stock and only has the custom front and rear panels glued in which should be easy enough to deal with. If anyway one has a spare rear window louvre that we be a great addition

Must still iron out the finer details but thanks for the heads up on the hood. Def not going to be a pace car though -

Here's my convertible that I'm going to resurrect using the chassis from the Revell 'bird I mentioned earlier. I'm thinking this one is going to be a small block auto with set of magnum 500s and narrow whitewalls
