  1. I built this 1st generation MKII (IMC/Testors) a very long time ago. It would have been so nice if Fujumi made theirs with engines though. I'm sure I can spare an extra wheel if you need one. I have about a dozen of the Fujumi/Revell GT40's.
  2. I forgot - the IPMS 50th anniversary show is August 6-9 in Hampton VA. http://www.ipmsusa2014.com/
  3. This show is in May and would be about two hours from you. http://www.mamasboyz.org/MidNNL.html On the same day is an IPMS show in Fairfax VA http://www.novaipms.org/html/mc12.html but it's about 80% military models.
  4. A few more close up pics of the parts.
  5. I picked this up from a Ebay seller this week. I've been on the hunt for one for many years at a decent price. Needless to say I finally scored one. I have not inspected the kit but it looks pretty good. I have to consider it's a Japanese kit and it was designed to be motorized. I'll have to look at it piece by piece to give a full report. For now enjoy pictures of a really rare kit that you just do not see very often.
  6. Almost finished the engine compartment with added parts from the AMT 67 kit.
  7. I asked my caster to make up five sets of the parts w/o the dash. I'll go back to look to see who were the first five to reply and contact the folks. Price will be $25 plus $3 shipping so we will figure out the payment details once I get the parts which should be in about 3-4 weeks. Once you guys give me feedback we will start on round 2 of filling orders. Please note in the picture there are three set of parts and all the original parts some of which I did not cast (dash, steering wheel), The $25 will be for one set (not three as shown) and it will include the tail light housing and red clear taillights so everything you see in resin. Ping me if you have any other questions.
  8. I see this guy in my area once in a while.
  9. The wheels look good. I have not built one with those rims.
  10. At least it does not have a Chevy small block.
  11. That is correct - all real stunts and no computer editing.
  12. After you are done you can invite over some of your other 1/43 friends.
  13. 1973 was a long time ago. Anyone under 30 probably has no clue there was a 1st Eleanor and the movie was a "remake".
  14. Here is your next project. http://jalopnik.com/5466697/man-builds-mustang-out-of-lamborghini-world-goes-huh
  15. Unfortunately neither Brad (HRM) nor Norm (R&M) have a website. You can email Brad directly at historicracingminiatures@comcast.net. Picture attached of the Cobra Daytona Coupe kit. Please stop drooling on your computer.
  16. Historic Racing miniatures parts are available through Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland.
  17. I forgot how long ago I bought this resin copy of either the MPC or AMT kit (not sure) but with a part here and a part there it is coming together. I need to finish the engine compartment and add exhaust tips, mirrors, and whatever else comes to mind. I went with a 428CJ from the 69 Cougar kit and chassis from the 68 AMT Shelby.
  18. I built one and added some extras and a Mach1. I like the Cobra idea - the Monogram kit is awesome.
  19. I'm waiting for this kit to arrive in the mail. It's an oldie but goodie. http://www.ebay.com/itm/141182523714?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649
  20. I wish I had a GT40 but having a FF Cobra will have to do.
  21. Yes - the engine upgrade is available from Brad at historicracingminiatures@comcast.net and it is very nice.
  22. I wish my 1st attempts were 1/2 that nice. I went another route and started this resin kit long before the Fujumi kits were available and for comparison here's an older IMC version too.
  23. Here is are some SICK pictures that may help you in the detailing department. It looks good so far.
  24. I'm going to the NNL east and Charlotte for the 50th in April and then the Carlisle All Ford show in June.
  25. No World of Wheels shows for about ten years in the Washington DC area. A club started a car show in late February at the DC armory five years ago and it's slowly getting attention but no where near the crowds I remember back in the 1970's. I'm entering my full size Cobra and there isn't a model contest but it should be fun as I have not showed a car there since the early 1990's.
