  1. I have two sets of these.
  2. Where did you get the braided hoses?
  3. I'm pretty sure one on the many reissues of the AMT kit had the correct gumballs and yellow stripes,
  4. If I can take it apart w/o destroying it I will do that. It was super glued together so I'm getting used to using the Debonder.
  5. The engine is from the Danbury Mint Boss 351. The model was in mint condition before I took it apart. It was sacrificed so I could get a lot of parts off it. I did not pay anywhere near retail price for the Boss so I don't lose any sleep over me trashing a very nice diecast model.
  6. Next time I give some parts to my caster I can pull the one off this engine.
  7. Where would the 1965 World Champion fit in? I think we have some international modelers that think Ferrari's are not drag raced or compete in American based series like Nascar. http://www.digitaljournal.com/pr/1694371 I would welcome a category of "other" racing.
  8. I run into Pete everywhere I go.
  9. Yes - a correct 72/73 Eleanor with the plain hood but with Boss blacked out rear.
  10. Yes - my bad. Welcome to the club.
  11. It would be interesting to see these 1/16 scale two models morphed together into a 68 Shelby convertible but that could be expensive given that both are long out of production. The progress on yours is looking good.
  12. I guess I'm a multi-tasker.
  13. Yes - that is the old MiniExotics resin kit with the Monogram chassis.
  14. it's actually the one in primer. Basically a coupe with an extended upper quarter with Shelby taillights.
  15. I did an inventory of my Mustang kits "in progress" and it's about thirty. Anyone else out there have a problem sticking to one project and finishing it before starting another one? Some of the more interesting projects I started are: AMT 68 Shelby converted to a 67, Original 68 fastback (gluebomb), AMT LIL 68 Shelby Coupe, MPC 69 Coupe Shelby De Mexico, MPC 69 Boss 429, Revell 69 Boss 302, 72 Sprint convertible, 69 Quarterhorse, 68 Mach1 show car (gluebomb) and various 70 MPC fastbacks (Boss, Mach1, Grabber) and some Resin coupes (67 and 73). Let me know if you want to see pictures of anyone in particular.
  16. The large coupes are signed by Pete Brock.
  17. The Thunder Valley kit has a nice body and machined wheels. The engine is bad and is a knock-off of the MPC MKIV engine with Gurney heads. With the Fujumi MKI you can make basically the same thing with the Historic Miniatures engine and suspension, etc. The Thunder Valley kit was pricey ($100) 20 years ago so even it you could find one who knows how much it would cost.
  18. A tribute to the man needs a model of the man.
  19. Out of curiosity did you use Wimbledon White or "Pace car" white or something else? From what I have read the pace car white was glossy white w/o the creamy tint.
  20. Going from Cobras to Porchses? NNNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
  21. All built a pretty long time ago. Some me some love for these small scale beauties.
  22. I still need to add the oil coolers, dist & wiring, carb air box & top, rear support bar/bracket, fuel pumps, marker lights, tire decals and maybe a spare tire. For those of you wondering this is an old Thunder Valley transkit with Studio 27 photo etched parts, the base from the Fujumi kit, the engine kit from Historic Racing Miniatures and an extra part or two from an IMC kit. I started this many years ago before the Fujumi MarK I's came out.
  23. Aurora/Revell, IMC/Testors. Fujumi, Mini Exotics and MPC.
  24. Anyone care to guess the makes of these kits? There are five different brands.
