  1. To save you a little time check out the parts Larry Boothe did for R&M. Larry did some nice conversion parts for this kit. http://public.fotki.com/crstan/replican-and-miniat/replicas-and-miniat/ I can send you pics of the parts as I did not see them on the link above.
  2. Looks too clean. It needs some rock chips and road grime and rubber on the rear quarters Seriously - nice build.
  3. You guys are starting to sound like IMPS guys looking at a WWII airplane on a specific date and mission. Anyway - great model and I like the choice of not doing the #2 car colors. As with any GT40, these cars changed from race to race so to build an exact replica is difficult unless you have bunch of photos from that one race.
  4. I build a somewhat decent Mach1 from the MPC kit. Too bad the door panels are for a 68 Mustang :-( http://public.fotki.com/vamach1/mustang-model-cars/101-0132.html
  5. Nice hinges :-)
  6. Compare to pics of the race cars. The reflector lights were filled in.
  7. Should be in stores soon http://www.revell.com/images/new-product-crawler/85-1685-350.jpg
  8. My story isn't quite as exciting (neighbor let me drive his 355) but I did get to drive it for about 60 miles.
  9. I have the Cady decals but those Pattos Place ones look great. Can you take a picture of them?
  10. Like the t-bird taillights too.
  11. The first driverless Cobra? The wheel can look big compared to the car because the car is small except next to a Mini Cooper. Does it take some muscle to drive the car at low speed - yes. Could I swap the wheel for a smaller one - yes. Do I like mine just the way it is - yes? Do I like the Daytona Coupe parked in front of mine? I'd put some sort of steering wheel on it from some kind of Ford but that's me.
  12. One of the 427 kits has wire wheels but of course hardly anyone with a real 427 Cobra would drive on the street with them as they could not handle the torque. You typically only see them on a stock 260 or 289 Cobra. Some black wash in the wheels would bring out the spokes.
  13. Love the color. I use bare metal foil to cover the emblems then carefully scrape the paint and foil after the paint has dried for a week. Painting the Cobra and 427 Emblems take a lot of patience but it is doable. I built this one 20 years ago so it is a little dusty.
  14. dang - I thought I had a lot of Cobra kits. Oh - and enjoy the video
  15. Very cool and unusual to see a 72 sprint over there. There were three at the recent All Fords @ Carlisle PA show.
  16. I just realized you are a long ways away. I don't mind gathering the pieces if you do not mind paying the shipping costs.
  17. I've got a bunch of extra parts for this MPC kit. Post your wants.
  18. Something tells me I need to stop collecting and get building.
  19. Mr. Bond had nice taste in women too.
  20. The stripes were in only one that I know of issues of this kit. I think it was the one that was molded in orange - maybe under the Matchbox brand. I could check my all my instructions for these kits to find out for sure.
  21. It is a very nice model for the size.
  22. Imagine this guy behind the wheel.
  23. $9.95 at http://www.scalemodelingbychris.com/smbc_decalsp2.htm
  24. Pattos place has decal for many 69-70 Mustang race but car not the Lawman :-(
  25. Great builds. Here's the ARII kit I built.
