  1. Did someone mention 71-73 Mustangs? Bob's advice is spot on. Keith Marks has decals to do a Mach1, Sprint or Boss.
  2. I ordered the book through Amazon today.
  3. I've gotten a Mustang Magazine in the mail several months after the listing for coming events have come and gone. Now that is annoying and getting it a month "late" would be an improvement for them. Speaking of Mustangs - there was a mention of a history of Mustangs models edition. Is that in a future issue or is it a special edition of some kind?
  4. How was the part including shipping from Russia?
  5. Sorry - that was on a thread on that other Car model magazine website. I think the conclusion was it was too much work to make a stock ragtop. Too bad this 69 Revell kit was never reissued.

    Cobra

It would go well with a Cougar II the same color.

    Cobra

    Very nicely done.
  8. I think aluminum rims would have been a lot cooler but the centers do look nice. I'd probably use any part from the Fujumi or HRM kits that are direct replacements as the castings are cleaner. I'm not sure which engine to use, MPC MKIV or Monogram Cobra 427 or something else. Here are the rest of the photoetch parts that were in the bag. Also be careful as there are a lot of really tiny metal parts in the same bag with much larger resin pieces.
  9. Here is the resin kit compared to the MPC and IMC versions and a 1/18 Exoxto diecast for reference.
  10. attachment=85610:Gulfimc 001.jpg] Yes - these kits can be a pain to build
  11. Oops - now I see the hood vents.
  12. I had to delete some old pics to make room for more.
  13. I think this will be the one and only one I build. These old kits can be a pain.
  14. I used my Ebay/Paypal profits to order this kit from Island Collectibles. I will probably use some other rims and perhaps some Fujumi pieces and parts from Historic Racing minatures.
  15. Here is a picture from the book.
  16. If you're in the DC area look me up for a ride No costume required.
  17. http://public.fotki.com/mofobow/ford/mustang/78_cobra_ii/ The quality is very good.
  18. Pages 142-144 of the book Racing Mustangs has some pretty gone engine pics of the Whistler car which should be pretty much the same.
  19. The 69/70 Shelby fenders are different from the "stock" 69 and 70 Mustang so I'm not sure where you' going with this. I had contemplated doing a stock 69 or 70 convertible but that idea was discussed in detail in another post.
  20. Check this UFO out. https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=1389067964745219
  21. Here is the latest progress on Brad's new and improved 68 GT350. It should be on display at the NNL east next month.
  22. My guess is they are based upon a mid 70's Ford truck but that is just a guess.
