  1. I have some plaques and trophies in the garage with other car show trophies and the ribbons in display cases with models. I'm not sure what to do with the IMPS coins though.
  2. I wish you could leave feedback on sellers on Ebay even if you did not something. Here's an example. Are you out of your FREAKING mind trying to rip people off? SHAME on you and FIVE negative stars. I would be fine if Ebay charged a small fee (say 50 cents) for a listing whether you sell something or not. I have sold some old gluebombs and vintage incomplete kits but start the auction at $10 or $15 and have never had a problem selling them for sometimes double the initial asking price.
  3. About four years ago I scored a bunch of FM and DM Mustangs in an online estate sales and paid about $25 per car. Although I could have sold one of them for over $100, I took it apart and had a bunch of pieces resin cast. Of course taking it part ruined it and there's no way I could put it back together. It (a Boss 351) will end up in a junkyard diorama someday with other mostly plastic models that I used for just a few parts.
  4. Since there are no listing fees for most auctions they have nothing to lose and figure some sucker may bite. When I sell somthing I set a reasonable price and watch the bids. Sometimes I get my initial asking price and sometimes there are multiple bidders, but I would never price something absurdly high - it is a waste of time.
  5. Just to be clear, HRM is in business. Here's a link to images. Dig deep into your pockets - it's $95,
  6. These were resin bodies from Mini Exotics (long out of business) and Historic Racing Miniatures which are available though Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland.
  7. It was interesting experimenting with parts from the 67GT350, 68GT500 and HRM Shelby kits to build these three. The red one is the old Mini Exotics version I built 25 years ago.
  8. Beautiful job. I'll have to go back to the build thread to remember where you started.
  9. Two thumbs up Cobraman.
  10. Welcome from the Northern tip of Virginia.
  11. Magnifico as always JC.
  12. http://public.fotki.com/mofobow/shelby/shelby_cobra/shelby_cobra_closeup.html Fantastc build. Keith Marks has some nice Cobra declas.
  13. Very nice.
  14. If it can use a base kit that should keep the costs down. HRM makes kits that sell ffrom $95 to about double that. They are excellent quaility, sold in limited quantities and Brad does not seem to be losing money in the process. Now, is anyone out there interested in making a Mustang Milano or better yet the Mach II showcar. I'd buy both and they could be based on the 68 AMT Shelby and perhaps the Testors GT40 or just done as a slammer (no engine).

  16. Keith Marks has a decal sheet for both the GT350 and GT500 in any color.

  18. Pantera 1/24 with 351 Cleveland engine. All the Japanese kits are slammers.
  19. Testors Acalpulco blue metallic and Plastic dreams floor mats. I think the tires are from a MPC late model Mustang kit.
  20. So here is my unusual HRM 68 Shelby conversion. I originally painted the body and the paint jobs just came out bad so I tried to strip the paint and that softened the resin and the oven cleaner did not do that good a job of paint removal either. So instead of scraping the body, I order another body from HRM and set it aside and used some of the 67 AMT Shelby kit parts, some from the AMT 68GT500, some from the MPC 69 Mach1 and Fred Cady and Keith Marks decals to make a 68GT500KR. I still plan to build my other HRM transkit as s GT350. The one thing you'll notice is I did not add the roll bar yet and I used the AMT kit interior. Using mostly AMT parts was a challenge but everything for okay after some cutting and putty. Enjoy and ask any questions you may have.
  21. I highly recommend talking to an estate planner and/or attorney now. There are going to be issues with an estate and it is better to know what can be done now to make the process easier. They can advise you to perhaps set up a trust and start liquidating assets versus waiting. I wish you all the best in this very stressful situation.
  22. I planned on going but another meeting I had that morning ran a lot longer than I hoped :-(
  23. Hopefully I can see the progress in person unless we get snowed under in February.
  24. Is that the CMA kit that uses the Fujumi chassis?
