A quick thought I had about that; is maybe they used the old Z/28 kit for the body/ chassis molds. That kit was built for a different engine. So it would make sense the fit would be off. I know I run into the same problem with any Revell kit that has a shaker hood. They never fit right. I end up having to glue the hood shut. It does seem like they would test fit the kits though. It could be like the Supernatural Impala and have a note in the instructions to file down the hood latch for hood fit. Sure the engine bay will look weird, but the hood will fit. Seems like a lot of companies don't think the kits all the way through. Be it flaws in the molding, missing parts, or weird decals.

Looks great in yellow. Nice job. Only problem I had with my build, like you said, was the engine height effecting the hood. Everything else went together fine.

Nice! Wouldn't mind one in my collection.

Looks great. I got held up for work last Wednesday by a model T doing 40mph on the main road to the beach. It's a 20+ mile 2 lane road with the only way around being a few miles out the way. Sucked, but I did get to see a nice, freshly restored model T.

Yeah, but it was only for two gauges and not all of them. I kinda get the flowers, but not on a Coronet. Mustang, maybe

I believe it. I used to see a ton of them around here when I was in HS and college, but they all got bought up and put in garages. Now I only see them at car shows. It's rare to see them on the road anymore. I did see a 71/72 car like my old one the other day.

Well, as you can tell, I'm a bit of a Chevelle guy. The 68 being my favorite body style. I loved the kit and wanted to get a second one. I built it to look like the car I would want to have. SAM_1390 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_1391 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_1392 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr

Got the new AMT kit. It's not too bad. I just wish they'd get rid of the hippie sunflower decals and add decals for the dash, turn signals, DODGE EMBLEM. You, know, useful decals. At least they have headlight lenses and mirrors in this kit. It's pretty easy to build. No real issues. Went through three paint choices before settling on the red. Doesn't look bad. Very cool. What all went in to making this Mustang? -
I enjoyed the kit. It's one of the favorites of my collection. Some of the suspension supports broke on mine and I had to fabricate new ones. It still came out great. I've been lucky enough to see one of the real cars and your build does it justice.

Finished mine a couple weeks ago, but haven't had a chance to upload the pics yet. I wanted to do mine in Yellow as well, but didn't think some things would stand out on it. I then tried to do a Plum Crazy car, but the paint wouldn't cooperate. I settle on a red and white car. Still your build looks amazing and I may pic up another at some point to do a yellow car.

Nice, I wouldn't mind picking one up if they come out looking that nice.
