Any trouble with the AMT '66 Nova??

I broke the rear window on mine, but it still came out good. 1 (126) by Eric Lucas, on Flickr 1 (127) by Eric Lucas, on Flickr -
I think it's just the way they made them. I'm thinking of going back and working on it some time.

Nice. Looks like you had the same bumper issue I had. I actually had to invert them to make them look straight. They still droop a bit, but not as much. That was the only thing I didn't like about the kit. The bumper fit wasn't that great. 1 (148) by Eric Lucas, on Flickr

That's pretty cool. Wish I had the extra parts to try something like that.

These were good kits. Mine is one of the favorites of my collection.

Thanks for pointing that out. I did forget to mention that. The tire do not fit in the wheel wells good at all. It took a lot of work to get them to not stick out in a cartoonish manner.

I have a 427 version, but I also wanted the 289 version with the grill and bumpers. It's not a bad kit, but I don't like it in 1/25 scale. It's pretty tiny. SAM_0025 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_0026 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_0027 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr SAM_0028 by Eric Lucas, on Flickr

Dude, you took a turd an polished it into something beautiful. I got one of these kits from a Hobbytown store and they were horrible kits like you said. Mine looks nowhere near as good.

Looks good. I did mine at the first of the year. It really is a great kit.

And I thought I had a big collection

Wow. There's a 68 convertible that is sometimes parked out by the courts where I work. There was also a 68 Post car for sale near where I used to work in NMB.
-
Nice. Didn't think it had one, so I never picked up the kit. It wasn't on the box, so when I saw it on yours it got me wondering. May end up picking it up.
-
The kit has a wing?
-
Yeah, I don't know why they didn't do that with this kit. I guess the continental was an after thought for them. It should also have had Thunderbird on the valve covers. The box shows it, but the kit does not have it.
-
That looks amazing
-
That is true. 1969 and 1970 were white or blue cars only.

Got this kit at a Hobby Lobby sale. It's an AMT kit. It's not bad at all. Makes for a very nice build. Note that if you put the Continental on the back you will not be able to have the rear plate. Here is my second build of the year a 1974 Road Runner. The wing is from the 71 Cuda kit. Had a slight problem with one of the stripes being broken when I got the kit, but the painted stripe is barely noticable. I'm back! At least for a few posts. So, a quick update on my situation: I have not bought a home yet, but I have moved out of my old place and into a cheaper place that's just as nice. I'm still looking into a home and talking things over with a lender. I didn't want to start any builds until I moved into a more permanent home, but they've been piling up and it's going to take awhile to get them all built. So, I decided to build a few and save the boxes to make sure they don't get damaged when i do finally move. So...........here is my first of the new year. It's a 1971 Trans Am based on the Revell model of a 1970. It's a very nice model and I highly recommend it. These were good models. I chose the same color for mine.

These are good models. Nice work on the stripes. Took me a couple tries to get mine looking good when I made my build of one.
