  1. I just found this, and Wow! What a build. This thing is cool! It reminds me of many of the old Holmes wreckers running around in years past. Great job!
  2. Wow! What a great build. Down to every last detail, this looks amazing. Excellent job sir.
  3. It looks great Pat. I cant wait to see it in the GMC.
  4. The Tyrone Malone truck was called Defiance
  5. I dont know about realistic and plausable, but I did this.
  6. It happens. Trucks can get intense. Its good to have something else around to change the pace. Im actually planning to jump on one of these sooner than later.
  7. Wow! That really looks great Jesus. I like the stance, and the wheels. Are those the resin ones that were being sold on ebay? They look good.
  8. More exceptional work Jarda. This another amazing build. I love watching this!
  9. Great job. This is a nice twist on the 352 kit. Its a nice conversion not requiring a ton on scratchbuilding.
  10. Great progress Ken. This is a very entertaining build.
  11. Hey Thanks Tim. I didnt realize the 357 had a 119" hood. Ive only seen the shorter hood with the slim grill shell like the one in the photo. Ill change my model designation.
  12. One way to measure wheelbase on a tandem is from the center of the steer wheel to the center of the two drive axles. Sometimes it is measured to the center of the rear drive wheel. Different places say different things.
  13. Thanks Brian. Clayton, once you start you can't stop.
  14. Tonight I tackled the bolts on the mixer drive and access panel on the drum.
  15. Wow, thanks Chuck. Thats a high compliment.
  16. Absoutely! I still have many parts to collect for that build, but I've been slowly working on the cab. I'll PM you my address. Thanks man!
  17. Gator, that's two layers of .020 styrene. It's easier to bend thinner pieces, and layer it. Other hoods are easier to do with strips, but because of the shape of this understructure the sheet was better. It makes more waste, but it'll get used on somethin'.
  18. That looks to be a Road Boss or Western Star chassis. The rear suspension is correct. The frame is a little long, but I would shorten it and use it.
  19. Here's a few brochure scans that may help you
  20. Very cool project. The best donor chassis would probably be the Ford snowplow kit, but they have gone outrageous in price. If you post a pic of the tandem chassis you have, I'm sure we could help identify it. As for the trailer, it's so square that I would just build it from styrene.Ill be following.
  21. Thanks Charles and Dennis. I appreciate the feedback. Dennis, I agree that most of the time I myself overlook this detail. It does open a can of worms though, because why stop there? There are ribs and reinforcements inside the cab as well, but it has to have a limit somewhere. Being that this is an Italeri kit, with a good cab-to-hood fit, I decided not to glue the hood shut. So since it's open, let's make it look better!
