  1. All of the things that Clayton mentioned are correct plus the custom grill and straight pipes. Part of the appeal of the kit is it rarity.
  2. That helps a lot thanks. As far as the interior and things like that, I dont want to necessarily make it bone stock original, just not Nascar. So I think the Torino will work fine.
  3. I dont ever say this but, Awesome Sauce!
  4. Hey guys, if I were to take the 71 Mercury Cyclone kit and turn it back to a street car what other kit would be a good donor? Im not sure what platform that car was built on but Im sure it shares the chassis with a ford of some sort. Would it be a Torino?
  5. Clayton, make sure and browse this thread before you start http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47089&view=&hl=&fromsearch=1
  6. It can easily be thinned out with a dremel tool.
  7. (APPLAUSE!!!) Very outstanding work.
  8. Dan, this is nothing short of amazing. Seriously this is a monumental project adding in all of the cars. You did an exceptional job.
  9. Beautiful rig.I love the color, and the work to the front bumper, the KW sleeper, and the stacks.
  10. I dont know what Im more jealous of, hanging out (in person) with a group of truck builders, or having built this magnificent replica of one of my favorite trucks. The pit fender/butterfly hood is my favorite feature on any truck, but put on a needle nose Pete is the icing on the cake. Great job Jarda.
  11. That trailer looks a lot cooler than the 1/25 moving van with race decals. Was this kit later issued in Harley Davidson dress?
  12. What scale is that Clayton, and what type of car?
  13. Awesome. Ive never seen scale mirrors with the flattened ends on the brackets. The tires look great. Id be worried that Id rip off those fenders trying to get under a trailer The rear wheels, short hood, and dual exhaust are all features that set this off.
  14. Looks great Chuck. Glad to see it finished. What mirrors did you end up using? And what did the rear tires come from?
  15. Ive used the ones in the trailer kits. The cargo bull dump trailer, and the jumbo/topas tank trailer. I have some extra, let me know if you need them.
  16. Does anyone know of any resin casters that make a Pete 362 cabover? Im looking for a daycab, but I can cut one up if I have to. Any leads are appreciated.
  17. That is the toughest looking Mack I have ever seen. Great job.
  18. Ah, very interesting. How would you rate it compared to the AMT California Hauler with a resin 351 hood?
  19. Very obscure truck. Have you decided on a motor yet?I wonder if theres anything existing that can be easily mofified into the Gold Comet engine?
