  1. Yeah, that's what the nitpickers always write. I think it's destructive, not constructive. Do you like it?
  2. That thing looks nasty. I couldn't imagine what it would be like driving one of those things! I'm interested too in what's up.
  3. Hi guys, Simple question. Do you like your models to be criticized? Like; "This and that could be different, you left this out, this could have been better, why didn't you put an inspection sticker on the windshield, no door locks showing in the interior, the left mirror is a bit too low, or....nice model and very well built and the motor looks real nice. But there's a dust particle on the camera lens. You could've done better". Believe me, for the past year on another forum I've read this kind of stuff till it makes me sick, and wonder, is our hobby a constant competition, or are some folks just nuts and have to find something to write negatively about. Personally, I don't care too much for a critique. Some things I'd like some help on for better ideas, but mostly, and I think most of us just want to share and maybe read some positive stuff, for sure. We all like doing our thing, and looking what others are doing too. I know myself that some things I can improve on, I do as I can, I'm sure we all do. So, bottom line, would it irritate you if some dudes just nitpick and offer nothing else? Michael
  4. I know a guy on a German forum who does only brush painting. His work is about the finest I've ever seen, just unbelievable. Like stated above, good flat brush, good and thinned out paint. Sand, paint, sand smooth again, paint. Some guys though are just magicians.
  5. That's a pretty snappy paint job. Looking good.
  6. Look guys! Is that Christine in the background? Very cool model, and it looks great. Michael
  7. Dear Harry P., Ludwig just posted the wackiest looking Mopar of all time, the old 62 Plymouth! Fugly. I didn't even know all these old Johann's even existed. Cool cars, and excellent models! Very well done Ludwig. Michael
  8. Hi Ray....no, no not Hi-Way, Hello Ray! What a paint job! Beautiful black and smooth as smooth can be! Excellent, my compliments on a job well done. Also, could you please give some insight on what kind, or how you prepared the lighting for your photo session? I need help with letting dark colors show properly on models. You did very well. Thanks, michael
  9. Hi Ronald, the 60's Buicks and Olds were fine cars, and the Wildcat was cool. Very large, long and luxury to boot, and just two doors. Gotta love those cars from back then. Good idea with the color scheme, but maybe a slight difference between the two? Give the Wildcat the extra flair if possible, heritage calls! Michael
  10. Hi Ray, that's a cool car, I really like the body style, and it's made for high speed. Go for it!
  11. What a cool idea! The paint job looks absolutely fine, the wood looks like wood! I like. Good stuff! Michael
  12. Wow, the paint looks fantastic! I love the color, well done.
  13. Looks pretty classy Niko!
  14. Hi Mike, I'm not an expert, but I kind of doubt it. The SOHC was a race motor. Limited edition type. I don't think NASCAR Fords were ever was able to use them, so I can't imagine another possibility for a Galaxy / SOHC combination. Do you just need a SOHC motor?
  15. Well, I have a good feeling that old sled is one of a kind!
  16. We learn too when guys like you report things not so good, and you tell us about it. Michael
  17. ....what's in a name? Dog vomit? Yuck. "Ash on an old man's sleeve Is all the ash the burnt roses leave. Dust in the air suspended Marks the place where a story ended". T.S.Eliot Bye.
  18. Yep, this model is truly worth bringing out again. Just amazing, and something I'll continue to admire for a long time. Michael
  19. Nice progress here. Art, do you have a paint plan for the frame? Michael
  20. Rich, I'm sure it will come out right. Great color on a truly good looking car model. What do you suppose the problem was with the hood? Clear applied too thick? Room temp? Michael
  21. Hi James, great looking motor! Thanks for the info also, I like the pulleys. Michael
  22. Oh dear...."and smell her chanel". You wanna hear what a chanel is in another language?
  23. John, I'm happy you lived to tell us about this. I'm gonna do it next time. Ouch!
