  1. I think we're talking here about inside trunk areas on models that don't have a trunk that opens. Do you guys tear the model apart?
  2. Hi Ludwig, The car came out really nice. The color suits well and shines nicely and matches the interior. Very nice details on the dash, and BMF on the door panels too! Excellent. The garage and the pavement look good too. Is your airplane behind those doors? lol.
  3. Super clean work Tim! Very nicely photographed as well. After looking at these pics I went back and cleaned up all of the joints on my current build! Thanks for showing us how it's supposed to get done! Michael
  4. I don't really see a point in painting areas that will not be visible. But, I like to spray past the actual target, so the rest gets a shot anyway. I use too the "unseen" areas to check out the color I'm shooting, just a quick look to see what the deal is, so a lot more gets color than is needed. Bottom line is, I won't purposely paint an area that is in the dark. Michael
  5. Sears sold cheater slicks with that red/white sidewall design back in mid 60's. In my town we had a Sears speed Shop that adjoined a large Sears Store. The cheater slicks were 7" wide, and had just two grooves on them, outside edges, otherwise they were slicks. My brother-in-law ran a set on his then new 426 '64 Sport Fury. 4 spd. car, and very nice. I haven't seen this tire design since then. What a surprise! Duh! What an idiot! Now I see this thread is old as the hills! lol. I'll keep the reply though, maybe for some it's of interest. Michael
  6. Art, it's a nightmare looking at all of those joints! Plus, they're all so clean! It's sick. Question: Can you give some insight, which are tubes, which are solid? Do you apply different temp solders? I'm a novice, and I admire your skills and am quite grateful....that I don't have to copy this! lol. You, and others that have replied here have offered so much detail and how to do's, thanks for showing! Michael
  7. The way the "brass" paint looks has me convinced. The magnesium also. I'll have to see where I can get the MM paint. Again, I've learned something, thanks for sharing. Michael
  8. Hi Lucas, that sounds good. I wanted another hand piece / micro-motor so I chose the Proxxon. It's great. Lightweight and slender design, with lots of power to cut metal, and the speeds are variable from like 3 to 20 K. I want to do some precision drilling so I'll be getting the drill press unit next. The micro motor fits in it, as for other units as well. Proxxon has a good system for lots of hobby use. Good luck in your further ventures. Michael
  9. Hi Jim, I really enjoy looking at your detail work, very convincing. The metalizer paints look correct too, great work. Michael
  10. Hi Lucas, yep, as I understand this model is CNC ready. What are your milling plans? Michael
  11. Hi Ludwig, this is one of my favorite models that you've done. Excellent! Michael

Hi Jeff, I really like the model. I remember well the 70 Duster I had. The 340 was a real sleeper back then, and surprised many contemporary adversaries. I especially like the model that it is not red, but a color that appears to blend in with the rest, nothing flashy here. Just step on it, and it would romp. Very nice, I like. Michael
  13. I like seeing cars of this time so well built and presented. My compliments. Michael
  14. Looks good Ray, a smooth body that's suited for Bonneville.
  15. Hi Lucas, I personally don't have any experience with the Proxxon Milling Unit. I really like Proxxon machines. Designed and made in EU. Lots of value for a decent price! The MF70 seems to be a top of the line product from Proxxon. For the price of approx. €250 to €650, maybe a shop could offer a trial machine to use? Michael
  16. Well conceived and really classy looking. Excellent. Good job Rich. Michael
  17. Tim, that's just excellent detailing. It appears as though you're having fun with some new methods. Very fine looking. Michael
  18. Hi Dale, Excellent paint job, it looks fantastic with this car. What i really like too is the detail around the windshield and the rear windows. the BMF is a great touch too. A wonderful model, my compliments. Michael
  19. Hi Pete, What a beautiful paint job! The build itself is very good, I like the wheels and tires you did. Killer! I love it! Michael
  20. A very nice sleeper! Nothing is missing, a clean build.
  21. Hi Ron, It's amazing how internet can reflect real world situations. The dude that's unable to offer anything other than reflections of his own world is a poor creature. This shows often too in internet forums. Behavior. Poor behavior. I'd rather offer encouraging words (by not lying by the way) than to cut on a man's model. Every car model posted here has good points, some are just overwhelmingly good. To cut these is ridiculous, even then though small things could be mentioned. I'll pass at the opportunity. The worst thing is, one of the header pipes on my last model was hanging a bit lower than the other seven. A forum dude told me so. The rest was not even mentioned. Not so nice. I like it here. Michael
  22. The BMF is a great idea and looks very good. Michael
  23. Thanks Bill for posting this. One of my favorite topics is US Navy. Guys, rest assured, what you see, is not all that is available. This ships' predecessors are more than able to defeat any old Battleship with a wink of an eye. This is the future. I love the old Battleships from the 40's. Heavy Metal. Bad to the bone in their day. Today, they're obsolete and useless. This ship is badazz. Guaranteed.
