I stand corrected about the parts, I missed the other pictures, but the box cover does mention chrome and brass plated parts greg -
Want to see EXCESSIVE?
GLMFAA1 replied to jbwelda's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Sad to see 'what you see is what you get' The darn thing is missing a lot of parts esp the brass plated tree, hood, lots of stock parts I guess the box might be worth it. greg -
How else do you get your initials on a car. greg

A little trouble for a big load: Been driving past this predicament since last Thursday It's transferred the northbound traffic to the southbound lane and closed a cross street. Somebody is losing some big bucks with this rescue. greg -

Lets try the photo test. nope don't work for me http://public.fotki.com/GLMFAA1/my-first-album/p1040075.html http://images42.fotki.com/v1622/photos/8/3457628/13265735/P1040075-vi.jpg -
Adding to my border patrol collection, modified the Revell kit by filling in the sun roof, eliminated the dimples in the roof, In the interior used the old crown vic center console on top of the center console and the used the console lid and the keyboard from the crown vic console to make a stand alone lap top, Experimented with the blue light bar. Bill Bozo decals, had to trim up some of the green strip to fit http://images42.fotki.com/v1622/photos/8/3457628/13265735/P1040076-vi.jpg http://images15.fotki.com/v235/photos/8/3457628/13265735/P1040074-vi.jpg Most difficulty was the red plastic and white paint, Thank goodness for white Tamiya putty. Used WalMart spray cans, gray primer for body work, flat white as a primer, gloss white base as a sealer, then falt white and finished with gloss white. Sorry, could not load photos into the thread greg

National convention coverage?
GLMFAA1 replied to Roadrunner's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Peter, I was there Thursday and saw a peel scale modeler and by coincidence we stopped at a hobby shop in the suburbs of Columbus and ran into two Canadians in the shop that were there for the convention, I have posted a link to my Fotki site under the thread regarding IPMS Columbus I would highly suggest if the IPMS convention is ever near you it would be well worth the investment. greg -

Went there today, Another check off of the bucket list, Unbelievable the vendors and the aftermarket material for the wing and armor builders, few auto vendors, I got the Revell 57 wagon, Met some real nice people and great time, I am working on loading a Fotki album of the show. Hopefully up and running tonight, will list link when done. $5.00 day admission to 7 rooms of vendors and some remarkable entries. greg -

Clarification: AMT C-series Fords
GLMFAA1 replied to gator52's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think every manufacturer used the C Cab for apparatus, Just depended on cabinetry and pump configuration, I would use the long frame or splice the AMT/ALF pumper frame to the Ford. recommend ScaleFirehouse.com for info from the fire model builders. greg -
