  1. JC i bet you already have this one in the works. maybe another HRM build ?
  2. i have a ford p68 slot car body kit by Volki, definitly fiberglass. i'm kinda amazed that a model kit body can be made with fiberglass and still have some details. but quality not so great.
  3. looking really good . always liked the quality of the 1/12 tamiya kits. some day i will get working my lola t70
  4. awesome ! great detail
  5. yah i picked up this one, not so reasonable priced. not many detailed pictures but great history of cars.
  6. nice boss 429 , unique color blue!!
  7. JC ,looks great a long with the rest of the cobra builds. cobras sure are hard to keep track of. 3016 raced at sebring like your build. then crashed at watkins glen. the driver Bob Grossman sold it and bought 3022 and it raced gold with black stripes #6. 3016 was restored blue/white stripe #7 3022 was restored just like the #6 sebring car i think i have this info right, hard to tell with these cars.
  8. cobra wagon came out great ! looks like it could have been a real car.
  9. fantastic cobra build, driving lights look perfect. on to another cobra project?
  10. your cobra build is looking great ! love the old racing photos. just think of the safety standards (there was none) guy taking photo must have been 5 feet from the race track!
  11. early go pro ? good eye , also a looks like a goodyear decal missing on quarter panel (race photo) i would say maybe a different race but both pictures have the same white painted truck tire on in-feild
  12. a good shot at passenger side, looks like you need a little rear quarter damage
  13. JC, not sure how accurate this is, but this is from 1/12 model factory hiro kit sebring version . different from side to side and that small decal behind gulf would be a small cobra decal
  14. here is the real deal. i was told at cobra museum that most racing 427 cobra's had black engine blocks
  15. thanks peteski, i saw the remove chrome sticky thread after i posted. will have to try Purple stuff.
  16. i did a search on removing chrome. any new method of removing chrome? is bleach still the safest way? i want to remove all chrome from monogram cobra wheels.
  17. Colorado museum has more rare cars . may have to hit that one up someday. a few more pics
  18. great work ! looking like the real car.
  19. nice work and great color combination.
  20. just a few pictures from cobra museum (cobraexperience.org) Martinez California. got a kick out of the piston display.
  21. great job!! nice detail work.
  22. sounds like the paint blushed from being too cold . most paint works best at high temperature. i use a heat lamp in the winter time. i don't think clearing over it will help or turn out well. i would try to lightly sand it when fully dry . then try to re-coat when temp is good.
  23. it will look good no matter what color you choice. for me all my cobra kits will be body color. except for the one i built about 10 years ago
