  1. Sweet! I'll need to get a couple of them
  2. the factory exhaust location caused paint problems too.
  3. Condolences for the loss of your friend.
  4. Argh! You're giving me flashbacks to the car I drove in college. It was a navy blue sunbird/j2000. Affectionately referred to as the sunturd, it left me stranded on many occasions. I was sure glad to see that thing drive away for the last time. Good job on the model, though!
  5. My '69 was a coupe but the windshield header was similar. I believe it should be stainless all the way across the top, though the underside would have has plastic trim in the interior color, as well as the visors. Try post #77 in this thread: http://m.corvetteforum.com/c3-general/3124950-i-got-the-blues-official-blue-c3-picture-thread.html. I haven't found a good picture but I'll keep looking
  6. The '70s were chock full of weird stuff like that. That old Sneaky Pete kit was a perfect representation of the Big rig and CB craze. The kit has some issues but I think the Pete nose is pretty cool.
  7. Great job on one of the best cars from the series
  8. Good looking poncho!
  9. Very cool. Love to see replicas of real cars
  10. "Hey man...watch the leather!" Melba Toast is lookin good.
  11. Sure! Can never have enough inventory. I've thought about building a rusted out vette before, just to enter in a show and see how many people get it. Lol My mom brought me this painting from Hawaii. The guy weathers diecasts and then makes a digital background for him. I had a blue corvette at the time. I felt bad after I explained to her that they don't rust, but it's still a neat piece.
  12. Ever find a project you haven't seen in awhile? I opened this old Revell Corvette kit and found an extra body I had started modifying, probably 10-12 years ago. I thought it was among some kits I liquidated in the last year, so it was nice to find it still here. As I recall, my plan was to build a phantom '69 Z06. I removed the "sugar scoop" window buttresses and started grafting in the rear window from a convertible hardtop. I opened the headlight doors as well. I need to get back to work on this one. I think will fill the t-top lines to make it a fixed roof coupe, and also try to build a set of pop-up headlamps.
  13. That (and the '69 coupe) is one of my favorite kits. If I remember correctly, the tires that come in the kit are the old Goodyear Gt radials. They are a bit large to my eye. I think they may be 1/24 scale. Regardless, I swap them for something smaller.
  14. I agree it seems most similar to the old Stude v-8.
