This info from a Ala Kart expert. : " decals made by Fred Cady. However even they weren't correct. After you correct all the inaccuracies with the Ala Kart kit none of the decals fit. The Fred cady decals were the closest But I still needed three sets to decal it correctl"

Not sure holds rights to it, AMT ? Another club member who also has this kit said it was approved by Barris maybe 30 trs ago." There were several other different customs cast by T&T like the Dobie Gillis Coupe, The Car, and the Green Hornet." Not guaranteeing the accuracy of that information.

Wifey picked up a Revell 68 VW Beatle kit for me. It seems like it is mostly a stock version with the only option being right or left hand drive. Are there any aftermarket parts such as engines or Baja parts available ? Thanks

I have a bunch that I inherited but haven't tried them yet. One thing that I read was that on some in order to thin them down enough for airbrush you will lose a lot of the pigment in the paint.

On my FB Model Page I have been featuring the AMBR Winners. I have been watching as the winning trends seems to change. In 1950 was William Niekamps's 29 Roadster. In 1958 with the Ala Kart things started to change They started to be way out there and in 65 with Caspers Ghost the imaginations were working hard My page is now at 77 with the Candy Man but it looks like things are changing with tomorrows 1978 winner Phil Cool's 32 Roadster It will be interesting in seeing the trend changes in the upcoming winners

I wonder how well they will fit in a Revell body ?

I have a few T bucket build that I have started and about to start. Most of the kits are Revell Tweedy Pie or from the same molds. I would like to find some different interior options other than the Tweedy Pie (which is not correct) . I know R&M has several available for the Model A and 32 but I see nothing for the T. Any info on source or modifications would be very helpful. Thanks Jon

Normally I just spray Rustoleum Satin or Semi Gloss clear over the black primer or anything else that I want to have that type of finish such as engine blocks, transmission , interiors etc.

Am I seeing this wrong ? From this picture it looks like only the back carb is connected to the throttle linkage,Not sure of the left side bank.

I have never had a problem with it but I would why take a chance . Createx has a inter coat clear that will help protect it and you can tape some stripes on it without pulling up the paint.

Just clear it. water will wash the paint off Don't wet sand either

I recently received an order from Hobbylinc. Include in the order was 2 bottles of Tru Color paint. The bottles were only about 1/2 full and very thick, absolutely not air brush ready . I contacted Tru Color and they said the they do not supply paint to Hobbylinc and what the sent me may have been setting on their shelves for some time and the thinner (?) may have evaporated. They told me that they will send me the appropriate thinner to make my paint usable. Kudos to them for stepping up. I sent a email to Hobbylinc so they would be aware of the problem and check their paint before it is shipped. As of yet I still have not heard from them. I am posting this as a "heads up" when ordering paint from suppliers

With my main focus on building T;s A's and Deuces. All I look at anymore is what part are in a kit. My "kit" stash has turned into a "parts" stash
