  1. I am working on a project with my scrap pill parts. I am converting a 32 5 Window Cpe into a 5 window pickup. I just discovered I don't have a windshield frame for it. There are no markings that I can find but it is molded in black. I think it may be a AMT but not sure , help in identifying this would be appreciated also any tips on scratch building a frame . Thanks
  2. I normally do a Google search of the car that I am looking for ideas. I look thru the images and most of the time I find inspiration for a build then modify it to my own taste

  7. Looking thru a copy of Customs Illustrated from 1964 , I ran across this picture this morning. It shows a different way of mounting a 671 blower. Gives me some ideas for a future build. This close to the way they were mounted on the GM
  8. I worked in a Diesel Injector Rebuild shop for many of my younger years. The owner liked to surplus lots and had a few 4-71 blowers on the back shelf. These always interested me to put on a motor. I was told that there was a lot of work to make them usable on a car motor.

  16. Thinking about replicating the 65 Ford Fairlane 2drht with a 289 that I had back in the day. I was looking at the 65 Fairlane Modified kit and thought about using the 65 Mercury Comet or 65 Falcon Sprint for donor parts. Any suggestions or advice on this build ?
  17. I use Tamiya extra thin with Evergreen dissolved in it as a filler. You can also dissolve sprue into to match the color of the models plastic. Called "sprue glue" . I have also seen CA use to prevent "shadowing" after body trim has been sanded off.
  18. I got a bit creative and made my own out of aluminum tubing and sheet styrene for the flat ends. Started with a larger piece of of round and flattened it until I got the right shape then added the end plates and inlet/outlet pipes

  21. Looking for trunk louvers for a 32 3 window. I thought maybe the one that comes with the 5 window might work but it is not wide enough and has the wrong curve. Any other sources available ? Thanks
  22. I put the entire car into the dehydrator with the front propped up so the wheels were just off the ground and left it for awhile and the axle returned to shape (mostly). I will just have to store it with the front propped up from now on.
