  2. Thanks for the input. I am really impressed with the Revell 5 window lots of choices for a build. I will watch for some at the swap meet tomorrow
  3. Steves Deuce
  4. This one was built for a NNL Northwest tomorrow with the challenge of a Steve Stanford design.
  5. his one was going to be another Milner Coupe by my thoughts went side ways and I did it a bit more on the drag race side. I may have went a bit wide on the slicks. Named it "Gold Rush"
  6. This one was built for a contest in November with the theme "Black and White" Revell 5 window Autoair Pearl Black and Craetex Pearl White.
  7. First models I have completed in over 30 years. I know there are flaws but I build them as a learning experience. Open to any suggestions given. Thanks for lookin
  8. Lindberg made one but it was back in 1963 so I doubt that I would be able to find one for a price that I am willing to pay
  9. How is the Revell ? I just finished two of the Revell 5 windows and liked them a lot. Is the 3 window about the same?
  10. Just finished 3 32 5-windows and was thinking about doing a 3-window What kits are better than others ? Thanks
  11. Very nice. Nice seeing the Flatty in it
  12. I classify it as Shelby Cobras (true Cobra) and Ford Cobras(promotional Cobras)
  13. This always fun. Meet other modelers. Lots of stuff at the swap meet. Need any more info let me know
  14. Welcome from another modeler from the Great Northwet I have a facebook page (link at the bottom) where some of us get together and exchange info. It's kind of slow right now but check it out
  15. I first thought a Hearse for Robin and then maybe a car for Eddie Munster. Either way we all have our own demons
  16. Not really a Caddy fan but a red 57 Convert like this one brings back great memory's. When I was 14 back in 1964 I traveled with my Dad thru parts of America. We drove a Caddy like this from Chicago to somewhere in Washington state for a car dealer. This Road trip is one of my best memory of good times with Dad
  17. It also depends on the rarity of the car. My 66 Barracuda is a V8, auto on the floor w/console and buckets. Nice but not the most desirable car. I have made it a 60's period car, something a high school kid would have. I still can be changed back if someone wanted to do a resto on it. But since it's not an "S" code car it's not worth it go original .
  18. I build very few car in stock form. Mostly something I want to replicate from my past. I focus mostly on "period correct" mainly in the 60's. What bothers me is to see a Chevy motor in a Ford. I can tolerate a Hemi but not by much. I am trying to be more exceptive and of the two Deuces I am currently working on, one has a Hemi and one has a SMB.
  19. Welcome from to a fellow "Stump Townian" (can't say "Portlandian" any more)
  20. When I was a wee lad I would open them in the back seat on the way home. That probably accounted for all the lost metal axles. Now I open them at my first opportunity after I get them home (still may be missing some metal axles)
  21. With the same WB as the Valiant more than likely most of the rest is the same also.
  22. 64-66 had 106" WB in 67 they went to 108" WB I believe the grill is different on the 64 than the 65
