  1. Only one I've tried was the Aluma Coupe, not very happy with it. I do have a 59 Galaxie waiting on the shelf.
  2. Just like the 22lr ammo, as long as idiots pay outrageous prices, the other idiots will keep selling them at outrageous prices.
  3. Bought two at Walmart. going to see if I can trade them for some 22lr ammo
  4. You can pick the kits up at Walmart for $20
  5. Definitely easier than this setup
  6. I went to a car show last weekend and they had a few. I will post some more for you. Still sorting them out took around 250 pics nothing newer than 64.
  7. Then you will probably love this one Darren
  8. Thanks But do you want to see it ?
  9. Is there any particular place to test uploading pics ?
  10. welcome from Boiling on PDX. 8 straight days of 90's When your hot your hot
  11. Last I heard it was going to be released in August . Anybody hear anything else ?
  12. Doing a little research what I found out was that Von Dutch came up with the idea of "Lace" painting. He mentioned it to Larry Watson whom painted what I believe is the first "Lace" paint on a car in 1967.(the car posted above by Can-Con). Von Dutch had only painted a chair by accident with overspray. I look at some of cars Von Dutch's painted, none had "Lace". I did find a few older cars with "Lace" but all seemed to be newer builds. More information on Larry can be found on Kustomrama. (I still haven't figured out how to paste a link)
  13. Up thru the center in the lighter color there was some "lace" painting. I remember doing that in the 60's .I asked the builder about it and he told me that it started in the 50's. Love going to the small fairground car shows. The newest car there was a 59. Most the kind of cars that were built on a working mans budget. Picked up a lot of ideas. Like these cooling louvers added onto the front brake backing plates. There were a few cars that had them. I need to figure out how to make some for my builds
  14. Nice Gotta love the Deuces
  15. Anybody build any ? I found this one today at a car show. You don't see these very often. This was built in 2000 using only 50's Era styling. (I tried to load a pic of the back but kept getting a error that pic was to large even after I reduced to half the size of the others?)
  16. The louvers in the fuel tank kind a threw me a bit. Wasn't sure how it could hold any gas (on a 1:1 car). Went to a car show today and found this . Maybe that is just a tank cover? I still like it ALOT.
  17. I can remember something about the first Subaru's that came to the US having no front brakes. I believe that they were forced to stop selling them. I can remember 100's of them sitting in lots down by the docks. But they were only $1,300.
  18. WOW!!! I just looked in my 66 Barracuda and there is a radio but there are NO CUP HOLDERS . How do they expect me to drive it ??
