  1. I also remember hearing somewhere that there was a son heavily involved in the business. I would expect that he would take over.......I hope! Steve
  2. Color coats are on. May have a bit of an issue with the hood. Think I may have laid it down too heavy. I'll let it dry & see how it comes out. Steve
  3. Another car one that's probably been done. Steve "And now the sun's comin' up, I'm ridin' with lady luck, freeway cars & trucks, stars beginning to fade, and I lead the parade, just a wishin' I'd stayed a little longer, Lord, don't ya know, the feeling's gettin' stronger."
  4. Bingo! You win a cookie! Steve
  5. The latest shipment from Model Roundup. Should keep me going for a while! Steve
  6. That's ok Cameron, I never really thought it was real. Just reminded me of something you would have seen in an "alien" movie back in the 70s. Steve
  7. This one probably hasn't been done yet. Steve "I called you so many times today, and I guess it's all true what your girlfriends say, that you don't ever want to see me again, and your brother's gonna kill me and he's six feet ten"....
  8. Well, #1 is the Beatles, "Baby You Can Drive My Car". Not sure about the rest. Steve
  9. As I said, I just thought it was a fun picture. Steve
  10. Sorry, I didn't read all 267 pages! Steve
  11. I believe the song's actual name was "Rev on the Red Line", but you obviously know it, so close enough! One of my favorite Foreigner tunes when I was a young street racer myself! Steve
  12. Thanks guys! I'm starting to consider rebuilding the interior a little, but it all depends on how ambitious I get. I have 2 old interior buckets, so I guess it's worth a try. Problem is, I have limited interest in this build as is & if I get too carried away with it, I'm afraid I'll lose interest all together. I'm thinking of removing the front & rear seats & replacing them with something more akin to what would have been in a "standard" 300 that year. Re-working the door panels a bit, & smoothing out the rear package shelf. I'm also considering replacing the counsel with just a plain transmission tunnel & maybe putting a bare bones four speed stick in it. Who knows, I'll probably just wind up living with the '65 interior. Steve
  13. Here's another "car" one. Steve "Two in a row, Everybody knows, At the green light you rev it on the red line. Been waiting all week to get my wheels on the street, Get my hands on the wheel, slide down in the seat."
  14. I was wondering if anyone would catch this one! Thought I'd throw in a couple with a "car" theme. Steve
  15. Foreigner is correct. Steve
  16. Pretty cool Chris! You're just missing a few head lights! Steve
  17. Well Stray, I've already built a '60, '61, '64 & '65 Chrysler, and I have a '63, '66, '67 & '68 left to build, so I need this '62 to fill in the gap at some point. Steve
  18. I thought about that Ron.....After I had already ordered some other parts from Modelhaus! At this point, I don't want to wait for 6 weeks for an interior tub so I'll just use what came with the kit. I thought that tub looked a little familiar after just building a '65. Must have come from the '65 promo. The kit had separate seats. Steve
  19. Here's another one. Steve "Women behind bars. Women in fast cars. Women in distress. Women with no dress. Women in aeroplanes. Women who play games. Women in uniform. See that women with her clothes torn".
  20. Isn't that the name of the song? Or is this an answer to something? Steve
  21. Black crows, Remedy. Steve
  22. Warpage on something like this resin hood is pretty easy to fix Jason. Just submerge it in some very hot tap water for a minute or so & then bend that corner back down slightly while you run cold water over it. Repeat until it looks right. Steve
  23. Probably not a lot of interest in another one of these right now with Peter Kennedy's Beautiful blue factory stock example, Rob's "daily driver" on the work bench & Sean Svendson's pro-street example all making debuts in the past couple of months, but I've been meaning to build one of these for more than 20 years & now is as good a time as any. This started out as a basically brand new "USA Oldies" kit that I picked up a while back &, of course, I will be building it stock. I picked the color for this one based on a '62 New Yorker 4 door sedan I had seen in town many times this past summer. The color is "Sage Green" & the interior will be black & tan. Just in primer at the moment, but hopefully color will start going on tomorrow night. Steve
  24. I'll play along. Steve "The machine of a dream. Such a clean machine. With the pistons a pumpin'. And the hubcaps all gleam".
  25. Just thought this was a fun picture. Apparently it's a '70 New Yorker "hover craft". Steve
