  1. Jake, They are back up and running, but have a backlog of orders to get caught up on. Patience, the wait will be worth it as their quality is the best. And in case you weren't aware, the reason they were shut down was due to the unexpected death of their youngest son, a tragedy no parent should have to go through.
  2. Dang, he HAD to have been at the show today in Simpsonville, because Tom was there. Wish I had known, I would have made more of an effort to find him and say hello!
  3. Brian did find me, and some great deals too! Sold off a lot of excess kits, saw some familiar faces and lots of nice models. I was told the turnout was light, some modelers who usually make the trip decided to go to the show in Cookeville TN. The venue for this show is a great one, lots of room to walk around and always a great bunch of guys from the SCMA hosting the event.
  4. That is some incredible scratchbuilding work, if you had just posted the finished model I would have sworn it was a resin or die cast model. Tell your brother that is very impressive!
  5. That is a nice "what if?" Somewhat surprised that no one has come up with resin pieces for the Meng kit.
  6. If the pickup will have the 4wd option, then I would be interested in one of them as well, as long as the price isn't too high.
  7. Pat Benatar recorded "I Need a Lover" and made it a hit for John Mellencamp, who had recorded it earlier but did not get much airtime until after it was a hit for Pat! I believe the hit "Take it Easy" by the Eagles was actually a Jackson Browne tune. "Because the Night" by Patti Smith was a Springsteen tune that she made popular.
  8. I would be interested in the Ramcharger. Would the D150 be in 2wd, 4wd or both? If both, I could be interested in one of them as well.
  9. Nice! Hope to see this one done soon!
  10. As far as I know, the only dually kits were the Revell/Monogram '91 F350 glue kit, the AMT Snap Fast '95 Dodge Ram 3500 and the AMT Snap Fast '96 Chevy 3500. MPC had a dually kit based off of a regular kit but IIRC it was not a factory dully replica.
  11. Haven't seen this one mentioned here but wanted to make sure the word is out! This show is put on the SCMA and is a nice show with a decent sized swap meet. I will be there with some excess kits and great deals for fellow modelers, might even bring a model for the contest! What: 13th Annual Upstate Model Contest When: Saturday, May 16th 9:00-3:00 Where: Activity & Senior Center, 310 West Curtis Street, Simpsonville, SC See you there!
  12. The Modelhaus has the shortbed sweptline, perfect for the LRE !
  13. Considering that it has been 45 years since the last model kit with a snow plow, it is a pretty nice setup. The lights are what would have been found on a late 80's vehicle and the lower mount for the plow isn't 100% accurate, but that doesn't mean it you should avoid it. As was mentioned, some small chain from the jewelry section at Michael's, Hobby Lobby or Wal Mart should solve the lift mystery. If you wanted to go all out, some small scale hoses could be made to replicate the hydraulic lines from the pump to the rams on the plows, along with the control cables from the pump to the cab control unit.
  14. Count me in! I think I still have the 4wd front end conversion kit from Dencon, so there will definitely be at least one of these kits in my future!
  15. considering we are one month into the second quarter, I would guess it is going to be at least another month or two. There are still some first quarter releases that haven't made it to the shelves.
  16. Another good one would be the Revell 69 Camaro.
  17. Model Empire Dean's Hobby Stop The two places above also have vintage kits. Look around for hobby shows and swap meets, great places to find kits.
  18. Modelroundup shows both kits with the same due dates. I am anxious to get my hands on a couple!
  19. "only time will tell"
  20. Looks great! Don't be surprised if you get asked for a couple of more for her co-workers!
  21. Contact Kenny at Bandit Resins, they have some nice stuff for the 67-72 GM trucks- hoods, grilles and hopefully he will fix the mold for the shortbed resin kit.
  22. That should work well. Be sure to put some cross braces in as well.
  23. That is one long wrecker! I would hate to have to make a U-turn! Nice job, looks like you used two sets of amber rotating lamps, no?
  24. That is a very convincing barn find! Great details.
  25. Late Lament by the Moody Blues
