I am sure if you created a master for a correct grille, someone would cast it for the masses. I recall Chuck Most doing one for the AMT Ford pickups and it was picked up by a caster.

I agree with this 100% Scott and think many others do as well. It is unfortunate that mistakes are made in the manufacturing of kits and one would hope they didn't but the reality is they do. I will buy one of these kits mostly because I like the looks of the kit, and whatever flaws it has, I will accept.

Almost as bad as the nit picking on the new F100 kits.

Ha! More like 3 years for me! Nice work, clean and simple, hard to believe some people can build a car in a weekend that isn't a snap together! My patience and modeler's ADD doesn't allow me to build a model inside of a week, snap together or glue.

I once worked for a small company that campaigned one of these trucks in the old NHRA Pro Stock Truck category and wheel pops were common. It wasn't as fast as Pro Stock cars, but fun all the same. And Rob, the only thing it hauled was A$$, no payload space with the tubs and fuel cell!

I was in an Ollie's today and they had a lot of blues and reds with some silver and gray. They have a sale through tomorrow that gives you 15% off EVERYTHING in the store, so those cans of paint are now just $.85! I did notice that they had some Rustoleum automotive primer in a large can for $3.99, might have to go back for a couple!

Any chance you might be tooling up some bias ply tires for older pickups? I want to replicate the '71 F250 my Dad had (and I learned to drive stick on!) and it had the 7.50x16.5 tires, with a lug tread on the rear. I am already planning on ordering some 8 lug wheels from you, it would be nice to have the tires too!

I haven't seen that Testors paint before, where did you find it? Nice start on that '66, always liked that body styling.

got my '69s from Modelroundup for $27 plus shipping, my '71s came from Tower with free shipping. No LHS to shop at and it's not likely that Hobby Lobby will have them.

Wow, that is a pretty long list. I think you missed the missing bumper from the '69 F100 that had Mike51 in an uproar. I won't let the perceived "issues" keep me from building these trucks, I build for myself and they will look good on my shelf.

While you might not like the explanation, I think Dave made it clear as to why it happened. Get over it, build the dang model and quit complaining. Find something worthwhile to channel your energy into, because continuing to rail on about the subject isn't going to change a thing.
