  1. As far as I know, the only dually kits were the Revell/Monogram '91 F350 glue kit, the AMT Snap Fast '95 Dodge Ram 3500 and the AMT Snap Fast '96 Chevy 3500. MPC had a dually kit based off of a regular kit but IIRC it was not a factory dully replica.
  2. Haven't seen this one mentioned here but wanted to make sure the word is out! This show is put on the SCMA and is a nice show with a decent sized swap meet. I will be there with some excess kits and great deals for fellow modelers, might even bring a model for the contest! What: 13th Annual Upstate Model Contest When: Saturday, May 16th 9:00-3:00 Where: Activity & Senior Center, 310 West Curtis Street, Simpsonville, SC See you there!
  3. The Modelhaus has the shortbed sweptline, perfect for the LRE !
  4. Considering that it has been 45 years since the last model kit with a snow plow, it is a pretty nice setup. The lights are what would have been found on a late 80's vehicle and the lower mount for the plow isn't 100% accurate, but that doesn't mean it you should avoid it. As was mentioned, some small chain from the jewelry section at Michael's, Hobby Lobby or Wal Mart should solve the lift mystery. If you wanted to go all out, some small scale hoses could be made to replicate the hydraulic lines from the pump to the rams on the plows, along with the control cables from the pump to the cab control unit.
  5. Count me in! I think I still have the 4wd front end conversion kit from Dencon, so there will definitely be at least one of these kits in my future!
  6. considering we are one month into the second quarter, I would guess it is going to be at least another month or two. There are still some first quarter releases that haven't made it to the shelves.
  7. Another good one would be the Revell 69 Camaro.
  8. Model Empire Dean's Hobby Stop The two places above also have vintage kits. Look around for hobby shows and swap meets, great places to find kits.
  9. Modelroundup shows both kits with the same due dates. I am anxious to get my hands on a couple!
  10. "only time will tell"
  11. Looks great! Don't be surprised if you get asked for a couple of more for her co-workers!
  12. Contact Kenny at Bandit Resins, they have some nice stuff for the 67-72 GM trucks- hoods, grilles and hopefully he will fix the mold for the shortbed resin kit.
  13. That should work well. Be sure to put some cross braces in as well.
  14. That is one long wrecker! I would hate to have to make a U-turn! Nice job, looks like you used two sets of amber rotating lamps, no?
  15. That is a very convincing barn find! Great details.
  16. Late Lament by the Moody Blues
  17. That is great news Dave! I now have to start saving my lunch money in earnest so I can afford my half dozen of each!
  18. Welcome Chris! There will be a show and swap meet coming up in August in NC, look for the announcement here on the forum. There is a club in the Kernersville area, Carolina Kustom Modelers, they host the show and swap meet, great guys !
  19. Russell, Welcome back! There are so many things that have probably changed since you last worked on models. You just missed the Milwaukee NNL last week, it would have been a great place for you to see what is happening in the hobby as well as meet some great people. There is a model club that meets down in Milwaukee (AMG) and has some great guys in the club. Spend some time here on this forum and you will see a wide variety of skills and models on display. Enjoy!
  20. That is going to be one sweet looking model when you are done! That blue is spectacular, just enough metallic and the clear really brings it out.
  21. In regards to the Model King version, any idea which online hobby shops might be offering them? Can one buy direct from Dave B. at The Model King? I am going to want a couple of them as well as the long bed version.
  22. That must be the supervisor's truck with those fancy wheels on it! That looks nice, should be a nice display for her desk when you have it done.
  23. Beautiful builds and anxious to see them done! Love the vinyl top and the BMF looks fantastic!
  24. Looking good, thanks for the explanation on the paint, it should look great on this body.
  25. That is coming along nicely, would love to be able to build one (resin or styrene).
