  1. Thanks for sharing, looks like he has fun with his Dart! I have heard he is a true car guy, from wrenching on them to being super knowledgeable about options and what was factory or dealer bolt on to being a model builder too! Now that Speed is no more, I wonder what will happen to the BJ auctions ?
  2. Tower Hobbies has this listed as coming in September and has a price of $26.99. Not sure what The Model King will be offering his version for but probably somewhere near the Moebius one.
  3. Another incredible piece of work Tom, very impressive scratchbuilding! Interested to see this one done and possibly for sale!
  4. Is this something you are going to resin cast or is it a project from your bench? BTW- the S series trucks were never offered in extended cab/long bed configurations. To Nick's comments, I think the windows need to be a bit wider to more accurate.
  5. Thanks for sharing, I had planned on going but had to find a car for my son this weekend. Hope to make the Morganton show at the end of September.
  6. Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland has what you need. Part number SRD 7103, goes for $9.95. Fits the Revell 69 Camaro kits.
  7. The wife and I had some time to kill the other night and decided to walk through the Wal Mart in Concord NC, near the speedway, and saw these same kits on the shelf. She was nice enough to ask if there was anything I might need or want and I laughed and said "No!"
  8. I would be willing to bet that we see a few of these show up at Barrett Jackson in the coming months. Some jackwagon will try to buy low and sell high. I would rather have a running "original" than some no mileage car that has been sitting for 40+ years.
  9. I hit them whenever I am near one. Used to get mad at myself for not printing the coupon out ahead of time until I realized I could look it up on my smartphone and save the paper! Amazing how many people you see in line with smartphones getting their coupon code ready!
  10. Kenny, Do you have a list of vendors that will be there? I have a busy weekend planned (wedding anniversary) but could sneak out to visit!
  11. Tower Hobbies website has a Mid-Sept. release date , but I would think once they have shipped them to the US , we will get an better idea of when they actually will be on the shelf. Already saving my lunch money for a couple of these!
  12. I stopped in the HL in Kannapolis NC today and they had 2 cans each of the gray and white primers. $10.99 before my coupon. They also had a bunch of models marked down 40% on clearance, so I picked up another Ford Van and was tempted to get a couple of others before the voices in my head said NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  13. When you're dumb, you suffer. -Me
  14. Just speculating here John but if someone doesn't submit pictures and information on the show, they can't run em! That said, you going to the next CKM show on August 24th?
  15. Nice story and great scratchbuild! If you hadn't said so, I would have sworn that was either a resin kit or styrene conversion. Not sure if you are aware of it but there is a model show coming up next month near you, Foothills Plastic Pros I believe.
  16. Actually, the were included in all copies of that month's magazine- subscription and newsstand copies. Ironically, someone is trying to sell a built up Dodge pickup on eBay with the S A graphics/decals on it!
  17. Still waiting on the D series and the Travelall Dave......
  18. I think I saw it last night while I was watching Cars!
  19. Just picked up the mag today and the details are in it. Sure would be nice if they posted something here announcing this promotion!!! Apparently the winner's logo design will be used to create some decals AFTER the promotion so should be interesting to see the entries.
  20. Being born near the end of 1963, I could say a split window Corvette but in reality the 1964 models were out so I could say Chevelle, or Corvette or pickup. There was a lot of great cars and trucks from those years, so any of them would be fine with me.
  21. Thanks Jeff, as I no longer subscribe I wasn't aware of it. Not sure about the MCM logo, is someone producing decals?
  22. The scratchbuilding and weathering on this model is incredible! The amount of realism is unbelievable and if I didn't know better, I would swear that was a real 1:1 truck!
  23. Go back a little further and we can include the Peugeot vehicles from the 60s to the 80s!
  24. What about the Nissan Juke? Or Puke as some of my friends like to call it!
