  1. Billy, It was on another website. His was shiny until he dull coated it to make it look sun weathered. Thanks again for the inspiration. Mike
  2. Hey G & J ! I really liked the article in the current issue on Fred Cady and wondered if you had any others planned soon? It was very interesting to see how Fred does what we does and makes me to remember his name next time I am in need of decals. Given the recent releases by The Model King, I think it would be great if we could all see how Dave has been able to bring us all of the kits of our youth that many of us thought would never be back. It would also be nice to see the inner workings of the resin casting world and maybe even the aftermarket companies like SE Ltd., RMCO, etc. Just a thought , hope you think it is worth looking into. Thanks, Mike
  3. Nice Build! I have yet to start on mine but I am getting inspired. This is the second one I have seen completed and they were both maroon. I plan on doing several of these and I remember one of my friends from grade school had an older brother who had a '72 that was lifted with 35" mudders and painted hugger orange. We had fun getting rides home from Steve and the occasional off road excursions we went on. Mike
  4. Brian, Thanks for the tutorial. As luck would have it, I have been scribbling flames on my notepad at my desk today and then I see this! I have some test subjects that I plan on trying this out on and wanted to say thanks for the inspiration. Mike
  5. I have used Super Clean and Simple Green with great results. Oven cleaner will work but the fumes are super nasty. Simple green is also good for stripping chrome. Just wear some latex gloves, glasses and a respirator so you can keep on modeling! Mike
