  1. What's winter like there? 50 or so? It only just started getting about high-thirties-low-forties here so I have to wear a light jacket...
  2. Top ones look like Mercedes Rudge wheels?
  3. Definitely doing this next year. Been a real blast.
  4. If anyone is interested in the Rolls, the Auburn Pyro kit, the Imperial, or the Hyper Hut, message me.
  5. I got a box of parts with the stuff I got today. I think the camper for this is in it. Shoot me a message and we can dicker on it. *Well, this is actually just the cap from the Gear Hustler... if you're interested in it, though...*
  6. Not much... The two Revell Ford Panels and the two S&H Torinos (one is with my sister for a birthday present) were each $14. All the rest was $40, and the GTO sans-custom parts is going to my sister, as well. Got some HW and MBX cars, too: Custom Chevy Luv, Coronet Superbee, Bone Shaker, Chevelle SS396, Porsche 934 RSRT, Chevy II, Supra, Fiat 500, and a Sedan DeVille.
  7. A full week off from school, sister coming home from college for the holiday, and my paycheck is arriving early.
  8. Whatever it is, it's beautiful.
  9. Fully worth doing, as long as it costs less than $200...
  10. Lots of mushy detail. The engine (for me, at least) was near impossible to build, and it turned out crooked anyways. Best bet would be to use a Corvair engine or sub in the Dub engine from the new Revell '68 Beetle.
  11. Full custom. Double headlights, wire wheels on whitewall tires, candy paintjob...
  12. Antimatter. Maybe the the flat-earthers believe the sun doesn't have as much power as the rest of us rationalites do, only emanating a direct beam of light on certain areas of the Earth at once. Also, the flat Earth must be quite thick, more of a cube. How do we drill for oil, have earthquakes...?
  13. Got the F&F Charger, partially started, for $2.
  14. Gorgeous cowled Morgan... Outside door handles were still an option at this time!
  15. I've got an $80 Timex. Good all-around watch, with Indiglo it's ten times better.
  16. Might sound strange, but if there's a Rite Aid near you, check there. I've seen it in nearly every one here, so it might be there, too.
  17. Nearly missed it! Happy birthday!
  18. At Reny's, the Maine discount store ("a Maine adventure") I got the new Revell Veedub Rabbit for $14. At Goodwill, got a sealed-inside AMT Bigfoot for for $3, and my father found me a Revell '81 Citation lowrider, also sealed inside, for the same price. Yep, a good day.
  19. Gorgeous. I might do that with my Delahaye kit if I don't trade it!
  20. Ultima Can-Am? One can dream...
  21. Funny. I actually did lose an A100 I built, and I need to mount an expedition to find it.
  22. It's still non-profit, but higher profit means more effectiveness for our programs.
  23. Everyone knows about that awful site. It's poorly designed and doesn't have as big an audience as eBay, so that's where a lot of the better stuff gets sent. It doesn't go to any of the "secondary" marketplaces if it's... A: too heavy B: too "beat up" looking I've seen a couple Johan kits come through the donations area and begged management to send them to eBay only for them to put four dollars on it and send it out on the floor.
  24. They might send the creme de la creme to eBay. I know our store does with some stuff.
  25. Some nice work here. As for me, not even going to bother. I never do plug wires, sometimes not even radiator hoses... hard enough to focus on ill-fitting body panels and such.
