  1. Second person in as many weeks skipped out on a CL deal.
  2. It's a '69 Galaxie 2-door. I'll see if I can get pictures of everything.
  3. Heavy-sixer Atari 2600 for $5. Hope to flip it to a buyer for double, but I might keep it.
  4. A Snaptite Caprice already done, a built Ford LTD, a built '37 Ford Panel, a curbside lowrider '51 Chevy sedan.... and a built Johan Cadillac hearse with rear end damage and a parts body for the same with the grab irons and rear end intact! The price (including a heavy-sixer Atari 2600) was $20.
  5. I'll have to slam mine into place tonight... Completely forgot until a couple days ago!
  6. Don't need a title to sell a car in Maine if it's 15+ years old, and frankly, I'm not interested in anything less than 15 years old that's domestic!
  7. I'm mostly mad just on principle, him breaking the deal. Still, I hope I can find something soon.
  8. So I saw a Craigslist ad for a '74 Midget. Answered it, and talked to the guy over two days to get a deal for $300 and a go-kart I had. I was just making preparations to get a trailer and everything, even nearly sold my stereo that I've spent the better part of three years gathering together, being incredibly happy to have a nice car nearly roadworthy... A-hole guy just texted me and said he sold it. I'm seriously the most incensed I've ever been. Way to ruin my dream.
  9. Sales Associate II at Goodwill. Basically, I do everything depending on the day, but I'm usually on register because I'm a people person.
  10. First one was done on a table in what's now the library with my dad. AMT/Ertl '66 Fairlane. He painted it (as per my request) in a really cool paint job, white on top, then blue, then silver, the colors in a three-tone with angled separations. I ended up wrecking the thing somehow in my "Reign of Destruction" when I was around 7-9. I stopped modeling shortly after because one time I refused to clean up my room and all of my models were shoved back into a box and hidden. I became a bitter and broken shell of my former self... so basically I turned into an adult. Got a big box of old models from my uncle for Christmas a couple years ago that rekindled the fire. I also found the box of models that had been hidden from me, in a very high alcove over the cellar stairs on top of some Christmas stuff. Memories, memories. I'm going to have to reproduce all the models I can remember doing. A lime Cuda, a white Torino Talladega with a black hood, a Fathom Green Duster, a red Mustang, a Grabber Blue Scout II, a black C-600 stake bed, a red White-Freightliner COE with only one rear axle, a blue '32 Ford coupe (I actually traded off the body not too long ago... I wonder if JTalmage still has it ) and a green '40 Ford business coupe.
  11. Two more Willys pickup kits arrived. I'm starting to get scared of myself. These things just keep showing up when I'm asleep.
  12. 1: Kids, yes, ages below, say, 12. Beyond that, oh yeah. Roadkill, Gas Dork... ahem, Gas Monkey Garage, Ken Block, Top Gear, and so on, these are all commonly overheard things at my school and have been for years. 2: Once again, yes, it is. My friend just bought a BMW 312i to work on the other day. Drove it 50 miles home from where he bought it. I myself am now attempting to sell my beloved stereo system to get a '74 Midget. 9/10 guys in school are gearheads of some kind, mostly lifted trucks around here, but gearheads nonetheless. It's not the "in" thing, the be-all-end-all: it's a very important sector, however, one that will never lose stature in any high school. Build a car in less than a year, make it fast, impress at least one girl, drive recklessly, sell it two years after graduating, and wish you hadn't for the rest of your life - sound familiar?
  13. That last one looks like it's in the interior of Unity Station from GTA:SA
  14. Vintage computers. Here's my (little beat up) Tandy 200. Runs MS-BASIC, I've made a few simple games for it, along with a RWC that I can use to turn the lights on and off with. Air rifles, stereo gear, old game systems (have an Atari 2600, Intellivision, Sega Genesis, NES, N64,) new game systems (PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox and X360,) general interesting antiques, Lesney Matchbox cars and trucks, and of course real automobiles and anything with a motor.
  15. I ordered two more '41 Willys pickups two days ago, and my sister ordered one for me yesterday, I think. Really nice kit, IMO, good frame and rearend, could use a little freshening up in places.
  16. I think the Cronus Max adapter will allow you to use a genuine X360 controller on the PS4. As for working like it, probably tough toenails for most games. I suppose a custom I/O device would work, take key inputs from the Xbox controller and log them into the box and then output them as the corresponding key codes for a PS game.
  17. Built as an ideal shop van for my future rod shop. Base kit is the newest issue of the Revell '77 Chevy Van. I didn't use the engine... can't really see it anyways unless you turn the thing over, and I don't have any diorama yet that requires that. The paint is Colorplace flat black with lots of decals from various sources, including my initials in Woodland Scenics dry-transfers. This was then, of course, rusted with MM acrylic Rust paint to form surface rust and drips, then rust powder to accentuate the same. The interior is painted with Rustoleum Orange and trimmed with Rustoleum Gloss Black. I also added side windows made from a Coke bottle to disguise the fact that there's no interior in the rear... Just in case anyone looks in there, I tossed in that motorcycle I scratchbuilt a while back. Wheels are stock, but the rear tires are AMT Goodyear slicks from the Parts Pak. Front end was dished down considerably to give a good stinkbug stance. A few real-world important things are missing, but this had been in pieces, 75% complete for so long.... I grabbed it off the table upstairs and assembled it in a little over two days. Questions, comments, etc. welcome.
