  1. I doubt they will carry it, but I'm hopin Hobby Lobby puts this on the shelves.
  2. Today I drove by a LHS I sometimes pass and saw they were closing. Ground Control Hobbies in Yucca Valley, CA is closing up shop. It's been about 3 months since the last time I stopped in there, even drove by it for that matter. I bought a Moebius Ventura the last time I was in there actually. My day was running long, had no intentions of stopping in, till I saw the sign and turned my rig around. The closing sale started last week and he was just about sold out of everything. All the RC stuff, vehicles-gone, most of the accessories-gone. He had about 12 car model kits, 1 pickup, 2 big trucks, 4 trailers, some military kits and a few Sci-Fi. I'm hoping to make a trip down there this weekend. The model kits were 30 to 40 percent off. The model spray paint 40 percent off marked price. I had a feeling this was gonna happen to this guy. Sad to say. He is a nice guy. I think the shop was just located in a bad spot/city. Small town, not much going there. Sorry to see it go, even though it's not local to me, but another LHS I stopped in while out on the road.
  3. Lookin great. That is one fine lookin Cummins there. Thanks for tips. It's nice to learn some new tricks.
  4. My mother in-law has one. It's a 03'. It's funny. No dipstick for engine oil. Trans fluid has a tube, no stick. You have to buy a special stick to check the trans fluid. If you don't buy that stick, the tube is open. Kinda like new Fords having no fuel cap.
  5. You can't even check the oil on a Mercedes. There is no dipstick. The computer let's you know if the oil is low or time to change it.
  6. It is a nice, straight forward kit. Lots of potential. Some of the kit parts can be a bit tricky, mainly the tires. Once you get comfortable with a truck kit, you can customize the snot out of it, with not much effort. This is what I did with the exact kit you have.
  7. The title says... picS of your favorite paint jobS.
  8. Here a few of my favorites.
  9. Nice job on the paint. You picked the right truck kit to start with. Here a few tips. The rear tires go over the lip Get you some black sewing thread and cut them so the hood opens to 90 degree and not the floor. I'm lookin forward to seeing this with the trailer, loaded down.
  10. Hot Wheels, Matchbox and Tonka. I played in the dirt and mud. I'm so glad my generation was before those ______ video games.
  11. Yep. They better put on their big girl panties, LOL. C'Mon
  12. You have no idea how bad I want to burn that song onto a CD and just leave it on the counter after gettin pulled into the coop. But I ain't no dummy dummy trucker.
  13. I think, in my honest (often times unfiltered) opinion, the best and funniest trucker song out there is Elmer Fudpucker, Dam D.O.T. It's a bit heavy on the foul language. But if your trucker, grew up around truckin, you really understand this song. I'm not gonna post a link, don't want forum Gestapo having a fit.
  14. I need to get going on my Pete. I haven't touched in months. I have everything I need for it, except motivation.
  15. Another 2 to the list of... just because you can, doesn't mean you should. That poor Chevelle and 57? The Chevelle just looks goofy and the other is kind of a mix of a Chevy bodyshop, Vette tail lights, Avalanche customized headlights, a 57 Chevy and who knows what else. To each his own, I guess. As long as the owner likes that's what matters. Just hope they don't try to sell them.
  16. Now that I've dug this thread out of the depths, I'm gonna try to get something going on it. I'm tired of lookin at the box, collecting dust. So hopefully with my long (not by choice) weekend, I'll get it out and get going.
  17. I also forgot to add Lacuna Coil to my list. They are from Milan.
  18. I forgot about Apocalytica. I really like the album with the guest vocals, mostly the Corey Taylor(Slipknot and Stone Sour), Adam Gontier(Three Days Grace and Saint Asonia) and Brent Smith (Shinedown).
  19. I'm not sure she has been posted yet.
  20. C17. US cargo plane. I saw a C130 doing the same thing today, couldn't get a pic since I was driving.
  21. Rammstein, Scorps, Warlock, Accept.....
  22. Saw this on my way home today. I know it's a MOPAR. But what is it?
  23. This next truck I'm gettin into is an extended hood 379, has a hoped up C16, Big Boss single turbo conversion, soon to be turned up to about 800 horse. I actually got to hear the stacks today comin down a hill while my buddy was drivin this mornin, I ran about 30 miles with my buddy today down our little hill (that's how I got the pic). The DPF mufflers it quite a bit, but still has a nice rumble to it.
