  1. Nice article. That guy did some nice mods to his '64. the original was much more basic and crude.
  2. I bet that thing boogies!! Lovely build.
  3. Started on the frame. While I was at it I looked at the other one (with the snowmobile). It is molded in white and the writing on the crossmember has been redone to read "Revell Inc 1981 China".
  4. This one doesn't....unless I put it in wrong. I'll have to check that. The way it is, it goes in from the inside and sits pretty well flush. The putty is to fill in the seam.
  5. Thanks Carl. Hard to believe it once masqueraded as a Boss 9.

  7. There doesn't appear to be any glass for the rear window. removed the louvers, made a pattern for the glass , glued the frame in place and puttied it up.
  8. Out of stock doesn't mean you can't get it. It just means he has to cast one for you. At least that's the way I interpret it.
  9. It is from RMR. https://rmrmodels.com/
  10. And it seems to use it almost as often as it paints.
  11. Thanks Chris.
  12. I have this Honcho bought on eBay which hasn't been built but looks like the body had been painted then stripped. I'm planning to do it as a Gladiator or at least a Gladiator look alike.
  13. I painted the Mercury trunk couch a great shade of deep red then wrinkled it with the clear.
  14. Oldsmobile Golden Rocket, 371 J2, OHV V8, 371 cu.in./ 312 hp.
  15. I could never do that. Hats off to you.
  16. Those are nice. Great variety. Each has its own "mood".
  17. In a bag of junk engines I bought on eBay there was a Boss 429. Only it wasn't. Someone had made a Boss 9 by gluing Boss valve covers on another engine. Turns out the pundits here pegged it as an Olds. So with the help of some 3D printed valve covers and some detailing I'll attempt to turn it into a 371 J2. Even a change in color is maling it more Oldsey.
  18. Cut filler panels for the bottom front and the sides.
  19. Take two parts, glue them together. Then you have started. It relieves the pressure.
