  1. They are on the heads. Got them like that.
  2. Not sure if this is in here but here goes.
  3. I painted it then when bringing it out of the booth, I scraped the top of the trunk on the upper edge of the booth. I tried to touch it up and went too hard at it and caused a sag. So then I thought I should wipe it off, so it is in the pond. If I had let it dry, I likely could have touched it up after a light sanding. Painting bodies is the part of modelling I like the least.
  4. It is a paint problem.
  5. Picked a light color. Decided to start with the body. as you can see, I am true to form.
  6. Now that I have the green, I started painting it.
  7. Why is it written Rolls-Royce on them if there aren't any? Just kidding....
  8. When it rains it pours, a second Merlin has come in. This one is in a lot worse shape. The Boss said "Oh boy, Oh boy."
  9. FTB has received a Rolls Royce Merlin engine. This is a resin copy of the Airfix Mosquito's with a home made supercharger cast from the Trumpeter Spitfire's. Wrong supercharger for the Mosquito, but the only one I had.
  10. Has it started Raymond?
  11. Your curved coving looks good. The whole thing looks good.
  12. I regret not having bought that one as well. I looked at it many times but always put it back until it was too late.
  13. I can't remember where I git that, corected it to SOHC. thanks for pointing it out.
  14. Is that the one from Shapeways?
  15. Just realized looking back on this, they would NEVER haul convertibles with the top down. Sheesh!
  16. Rolls-Royce Merlin. SOHC 60ºV-12, Supercharged, 1647cu.in./1440 hp.
  17. Thanks guys. glad you like it. Hope i didn't forget anyone.
  18. OK, sketch coming up.....
  19. David, it is indeed looking very realistic. As for the curved cove, if you have a router, take a piece of MDFthe width of the gap between the angled coves at the top of the bay entrance, sound the end with a jigsaw to match the arc at the top, run it on a router with a bit of the same profile as the coves, then cut out the strip using the jigsaw. That is if you have those tools of course. I also like your telephone. Used to have one sort of like that.
