  1. These sprue bits will make the distributor ends of the spark plug wire conduits. Machined the uneven spark plug nibs and added beads. Drilled the exhaust locator holes.
  2. Now, that is a thrill to actually get it from the man who was there. Thank you very, very much ED.
  3. Fabicated heads, valley cover, a new top for the distributor as the casting was crooked. Cut & pasted the cam covers. They likely will be the roughest ARDUN cam covers in existence.
  4. I built that over 30 years ago. Frankly, I couldn't tell you. Looks like it was pretty straightforward judging by today's point of view.
  5. Thank you ED. that explains the scarcity of information. So in all those magazine photos it was a mockup?
  6. After rereading Jollysipper’s thread about converting the Ardun back to flathead, I realized thisengine must be from the earlier Ford truck kit as it has the flathead intake. So, back to the drawing board.
  7. I was planning to start with the fuel injected one.
  8. The resin is Smooth-On and the molds are just modeling clay.
  9. In the second picture of the post, that is a reduced photo of a deck. Then I dirtied it up.Then I highlighted the holes with a very fine marker.
  10. I thought I'd try my hand at this beauty. Here are two more versions as food for thought. So I cast some heads and some engines. Removed the exhaust manifolds and glued the halves together.
  11. Made up an exhaust pipe. Added a deck to the headless side. The other side . Put the body on for fun. I may get it to look like a junker yet.
  12. Love it. what is the green thing behind the oxy-acetylene set?
  13. It will have a two carb intake with one carb missing and it will have one head missing also. Using a single head (no match) from the junk pile. Made up an exhaust crossover pipe using sprue.
  14. I was indeed impressed by how evrything fitd together
  15. Having another go at this. Bought several products which might do the trick.
  16. DONE! Will get better photos as soon as weather clears.
  17. Thanks Tom. Most are kits bought from breakers. Some are resin. A few are built from junk engines I had bought by the bagful. A few of them were scrtachbuuilt.I always check the internet for detailing ideas and of course I look right here within the ranks. Sometimes I goof as shown above with the Ardun engine. What is worse, I knew that the Ardun heads had four ports and that the three in-block ports on the flathead were blanked off, and yet....
  18. I repaired the exhaust issue. Anything else?
  19. That's what I hear. I wonder if anybody reproduces them. Perhaps they aren't very efficient. Who knows.
  20. What? Doesnt look the part? Ok, the Ardun heads have four ports.
  21. Ford V8 with Ardun heads.
  22. Working on the bling. In 1952, in Ontario one reused his 1951 plates with a windshield sticker. So will this car. I'll use the plate from my series
