  1. I should have done that too. The front end is a battle and I ended up with my trademark smudges and smears. But if I take my photos from 20 ft. we should be ok.
  2. I think you have more faith in me than I do. we'll see. I'm not sure but it looks sort of out of proportion to me. Of course that wasn't m y fault, only the bad paint and the smudges are.

  6. I tried different clears on different parts. There is some wrinkling on top of the trunk too. At least, at this stage, I can wet sand & recoat.
  7. So much for Duplicolor's "acrylic" clear being acrylic. It acts a lot more like a lacquer.

  9. I know how that feels. I've been through it twice here. I was about to suggest cleaning and reboxing but several members did it. No sense in losing more than you have to.

  11. Masked and painted the rockshield on the rear fenders. Completed the dash. Started foiling. Those larger wheels might turnout all right anyway.
  12. The wheels are cleaned up and back together. Had to make a new hub for one.
  13. Pratt & Whitney ST-6 gas turbine as used in the Lotus 56 Indy Car.
  14. The gentleman who had commissioned a Porsche 962 to be done for display heard through the grapevine that FTB had done the Allison turbine from the GMC Astro. So he brought his Pratt & Whitney ST-6 which had been used in a Lotus Indy racer.

  17. A short swim in the purple pond restored some whiteness to the whitewalls.
  18. Thank you Brian. Same here, while it wasn't a friend, it was a local man who had one in our village. I patterned mine after it, dark blue. I remember being fascinated by its rugged looks and the fact it was so different from the rest.

  20. There was one of those not far from where I lived in the mid to late eighties. It was some kind of powder blue.
