  1. Thanks Chris. I had the same answer from a fellow on the SDC forum.
  2. Perhaps I should say that the photo was taken in 2008, so it has to be at least 10 years old.
  3. Here is a '35 with the Holden Sloper body. Its official designation is 1935 Master all enclosed coupe.Cool isn't it?
  4. What type of Corvette engine is this? Is it readily available?
  5. I decided to have a crack at the Heller Ferguson tractor. What a beauty. I have rarely seen such precise moulding. One small drawback though, they give you a 1mm nub to attach the rear wheel hub to. Unfortunately mine are going to be fixed.
  6. A nice challenge for our fire truck scratch builders. 48 Chevy would make a nice starter, unless you can find a Horch.
  7. I think that's it, thank you.
  8. Is this water truck Chevy or GMC? If so, what years.
  9. Thank you sir, but I must add that most of what you see there has been copied from something else. So I'm not so sure about the imagination part. And as to the craftsmanship, I am learning, and things are getting easier and quicker.
  10. So there it is in a nutshell. The left and right walls of the control room. The left and right walls of the test cell. The left wall of the engine shop showing the double doors to the dyno room. Left to do, the heavy dyno. several odds & sods to fill in and some dirt for Ellen.
  11. Engine carts and hoist are done. The left wall of the engine shop will now be contiguous with the right wall of the test cell . It will have the double doors which lead into the cell, the main and secondary electrical panels.
  12. I think he may have meant Bobby.
  13. Craig, what was the name of that Schwinn?
  14. Yes they would be linked if they were together. Right now they're independent but I thought one should be able to visualize how to move from one to the other. Does that make sense?
  15. Big dilemma. At the outset, the plan was to have the test cell on the left with the overhead door on the right to jive with the overhead door on the left side of the engine shop. However, the guy who was operating the table saw made the long groove on the wrong side of the base, thus turning the front into the back. One alternative is to redo the left wall of the shop with the double doors to match those of the test cell, which leaves the control room side without access to the shop. Or, one could change the door to the dyno room to a double doors and the dyno room now would at the back of the engine shop instead of end to end. this is likely the simplest solution.
  16. Thank you. Once you start, you can't stop. Very, very dangerous.
  17. This is what the backyard looks like here this morning.
  18. Looks like they have them here. http://rocketfin.com/diorama_models.cfm
  19. Building a second engine hoist, slightly heavier to transfer engines from the transport dollies to the dyno cart.
  20. Here's another one https://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B001DILSQ8/rocketfin-20
  21. The microwave's digital display will make a table for the confuser and some manuals. Started making up three engine trolleys to hold the engines before testing.
