  1. RIP Harry. I try to live by your mottos. One I like is "don't sweat the hidden stuff".
  2. Absolutely fascinating. This good for us "the rest of them". We learn a lot by following a thread like this. I am in awe.
  3. Love it. Also I just clued in on your sign- Microcraft.
  4. Neat, great potential. And mine doesn't even have people in it.
  5. Looks like in order to have the spindles in the right location the sway bar would have to be in the rear or non existant. Luclily I found the original beam axle that was on the one I used to do my '34. I'll try to make this work.
  6. As if I didn't have enough things on the go, here I am starting another one. When I built my '34 Chevrolet 5WC to replicate my 1:1, I had acquired two Danbury Mint 35 Chevy convertibles. I used one in the '34 build and traded the chassis of the other one for something. I was looking at what was left of it the other day and figured I may as well use it in something. Turns out I had a gluebomb '32 Ford. It will provide the chassis. So I went at it. The wheel base is obviously incorrect on the Ford chassis. So I did a bit of a mockup to determine the wheelbase. Then I toyed with suspensions from the parts bin. A Nascar rear and an IFS might just work. I might even keep the Nascar wheels but narrow the track a bit.
  7. Grzegorz, you never cease to amaze.
  8. So it was. A quick dip. Touched up the rust. Added the salt & re-shot some red. We'll see.
  9. That is a beauty.
  10. Nice to capture a unique vehicle and a fond memory at the same time.
  11. Love it. I have aplan to do something similar with a Cord.
  12. And to a happy conclusion....
  13. I think "up" is easier with the exhaust. Added the electrical "boxes" loosely copied from the 3Dimage. They will feed the heavy duty dyno.
  14. Brad, what did you use for the stainless steel cladding on the office wall?
  15. Cooling tower is hooked up, suitable headers added. Unit more or less where it will live. The heavy duty one will be to the right. Not sure whether to send the exhaust out the back wall or up through the roof.
  16. Love it!
  17. I am not stripping it again. Maybe sand through and see what happens. Right now I'm busy with something else so maybe a quick dip might not hurt, since the paint is still fresh.
  18. Never saw this thread before. Me and family in 1983 and 2014. as you can see, the baby has grown.
  19. The three electrical "boxes" are pretty well done. They are near the console until I decide where they'll live. Two more are worked on for the test cell.
  20. Guess what. I realized I didn't salt the fool thing before painting it red.
  21. My Packard 8 powered LeMans Jaguar XJR9 in the shop, at the house and on display.
  22. Thank you Atin, André and Tom. Glad you like it.
