This is where we are 5 days later. I'll give it until Monday then I'll clean it up, sand to even it out (featheredge), then I'll start with the various undercoats.
Yes. It was used in the Junkers JU188 and the Focke-Wulf 190 and TA's among others. There were many variations of it made. I believe this is supposed to be a 213a.
FTB is working on a Junkers Jumo engine which they have been commissioned to restore for display. There are a few touch ups left to do as well as deciding whether to install the exhaust system or not. We need to build a suitable display stand also.
Not sure what I painted it with all those years ago, but it is good! Purple Power wouldn't touch it. I had an old can of Dunk (another degreaser), it wouldn't touch it either. Went and got a jug of Super Clean, looks like it may work.
Alain, how far were you from the building? I've been trying to figure that out by looking at Michael Paul Smith's setup. His look like as much as 100 feet away at times.
