  1. Made an extension of the parcel shelf to reach the back of the body. Started on the glass.
  2. I thought it would be nice to take photos outside of the FTB shops as well as inside. So I went to my friend at Ziebart/Uniglass and asked if I could "borrow" his building. Then my cousin photoshopped the Ziebart/uniglass stuff off of it and photoshopped the FTB (flatheads to Boxers) stuff in. I then had a sign maker print it to scale. We agreed to make it semigloss as he would have had to open a new roll of material to do it in matte. So it ended up too glossy. The first photos are with the image's pavement which I then cut off and took one with my "pavement". I think it will be useable. I may spray it with clear matte.
  3. Absolutely. That and your great garage give it a lot of presence.
  4. You are cruel Bill Geary.
  5. 25 Dodges have a triangular plate with a vertical post to hold the headlights to the fenders. Some, including the subject car have a cross bar as well. The Ford fenders are not allowing me to duplicate the bracket faithfully so I cheated and mounted the headlights on vertical stanchions with a cross bar.
  6. Attended to the division bars and window pillars, both adding and removing material. Did a quickie workup on the dash and tried to fit the interior. After much filing and sanding I have it so it'll sit level with the tops of the doors. Have to add a bit to the front. Then I'll have to add a large parcel shelf to reach the Sloper back wall.
  7. Don't worry, Dave, I'll fix it. It might even be better.
  8. Took the body and the interior to the garage and went at it with the rotary tool. The blobs behind the firewall interfered with the dash and a thick ridge just below the windows prevented the body to go in fully. Managed to drop it on the cement floor. Luckily I found the windshield pillar. I'll have to make the others.
  9. Started on the wet sanding. What next? Reshoot some blue or clear over the wet sanding?
  10. It will be a tight fit. Need to move the engine support crossmember back a bit.
  11. Just added this to my "follow" list as I will need some coaching when I do mine.
  12. X2
  13. Nice project. I remember riding in a '61, my uncle's and a '62, the funeral home's. They were quite the cars. Looking good in yellow.
  14. Dolled up the chassis a bit. Took templates for the windows. After much sanding and filing, the body now falls into place.
  15. I'll be able to attend a hobby shop next week. I'll look for some. At the same time I hope to attend the Ottawa show while I am there.
  16. I'll try. We are getting close to the wall flinging episode.
  17. I used the only one I had that wasn't lacquer, It was the clear from Spaz-Stix which is an enamel. Should have followed my first impulse which was to use floor polish.
  18. FI unit is complete. I haven't decided whether I will leave the hood sides open (the easiest since I don't have them ) or if I will ask for a tracing from a member who has them.
  19. Should have left well enough alone!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. Excellent addition to your garage dio.
  21. You'll like it here Noman. welcome aboard.
  22. Yes, that is a big loss. i really enjoyed his movies. Last year I went to a car show with my sons in law and my grandson. He was tickled pink to come across the same car that was on his T-shirt.
