  1. Rob, I have been relegated to a former storage room and two wall units in the downstairs bathroom. Here's my setup in case it helps.
  2. It was pointed out to me that the pallets looked somewhat out of scale. So I measured them and, sure enough. While the 40" x 48" dimensions were correct they would be 13 inches high when they should be 6". So I corrected that.
  3. I think I have it where I want it. Still looks a bit high but close enough.
  4. An older cousin of mine asked a kid with the hat backwards where he got it.The kid told him where. My cousin said he'd been looking everywhere for a hat like that but all the ones he found were meant to be worn with the peak in front. You should have seen the look on that kid's face.
  5. In my case I bike in the summer (1150 km this last summer) , I cut brush and deadfalls in our snowmobile trail network in the fall and try to snowshoe 1-2 hours three or four times a week. As far as the modelling, I use a special pair of glasses the optometrist made me for that purpose, I need to use pliers to open several of my paint jars, I seem to spend a lot of time on all fours under the table looking for something, I knock a lot of stuff over reaching for something else, I never remember from which supplier I bought stuff from but I'm having a lot of fun. I'm 66.
  6. It looks a lot like The AACA forums and Woorworking Chat.
  7. I think you are right Wayne. Never thought of looking under the hood.....
  8. I bought the AMT 69 Mach I engines on eBay. The 428 in the bag has this air cleaner, is that correct? Or does it go with the 351.
  9. Beautiful! Is the grille scratchbuilt?
  10. Has this ever been kitted? Thank you.
  11. Thanks, I'll check around but it looks that for half a dozen copies I'd better learn how to cast.
  12. We see both here and on the web. I have a few scratchbuilt engines I'd like to duplicate. I was wondering if 3D would be simpler than casting. Or for just a few items, would it be cheaper and more expedient to farm it out?
  13. We're getting there. Was going to use the '27 T's seat but it has narrow pleats. The dodge's are wider. So I cut the sides of the Tall T seat and will use it. Now I don't know whether this was a wise move but I shaved off the small half round moldings and started adding some flatter wider ones being careful to leave a slight reveal around the window.
  14. One word.. Jumping Jehosaphat! Oops, that's two. Beautiful.
  15. Me too. I can only dream of paint jobs like that. By the way, is there some room in your shed? We had a dump of snow overnight. I could move in for a few months.
  16. Love it, but I can only see the last few photos. Are you planning to repost the early ones?
  17. OOps! Forgot to look for the hinges. Nice job you did with yours.
  18. OK, I'm back after a few days at my daughter's babysitting the grandchildren while my daughter and son in law were away. The trunk is still a bit high and a bit long but it'll have to do. Skirted the bottom. The Model T rear fenders slope to the frame while the Dodge's appear straight down. Renshape to the rescue again.
  19. X2
