The shop has just completed a Ford 406. It was the 390 in the Lindberg 34 Ford pickup kit.

I asked him before Christmas and at that time he didn't sell the grille separately but he had heard about the reissue and he was considering doing it. He said to call mid-January.

The body and resin wheels have been tanked, ready to go. Working on the engine, making the ignition wire conduits.

When the exchange rate was good, almost par all was well. But now, our dollar is worth 79 US cents.

I have been looking at this kit. I've decided to do it with the stake body and the towing boom. It will also be a dually. I looked at the BB wheels at Scenes Unlimited but they'd work out to $47 CAD by the time they're here. They would be correct for this application but my budget says other wise. So I'll still use Plaskit wheels I've had for a while.

The '27 T touring tires are what I'm using. What you see here is the rims.

Painted the wheels to as close to his wheels as possible. I'll have to paint the whitewalls with the tires in place. I cut off the tip of the Ford hub and added Meng nuts to give it a Hex.

The crankshaft tweaking tool has been delivered to the shop. It is used, slightly worn but serviceable. the boys are happy with it. So am I.

Well... the cold spell broke. it warmed up by 35 degrees or so. The price? The sun went away and left 3 inches of snow in return. However it is ideal snowshoeing weather.Off we go this afternoon.

It is very basic, 10 parts. But with shaved valve covers and a few things from the parts bin it should be OK. Please forgive the poor photo quality.

Attempted to recreate the "moldings" between the trunk and the rear fenders using wire. Sorting out ride height issues. The bigger tires were too close to the fenders.
