What type of evergreen or Plastruct sheeting should I buy to replicate siding like this in 1:25? Or what railroad gauge is closest to 1:25 since some of that stuff is sold by railroad sites.

Started on the crane. It will be a cross between mchook's Manley and the kit's.The pile of pictures you see in the background were kindly provided by him. Took the alarm clock apart for parts. Who needs one when you are retired. It even had a ratchet for the hand crank. Blending metal, plastic and vinyl.

Looks like either way works. I made mine blue. The web shows blue for trucks and red for marine. But I guess Ford knows best.

This piece of packaging will become the "doghouse" at the bottom of the firewall. Filled in the gaps around the floorboards. Splash apron is complete.

Like they said. Great job. I'm becoming more and more jealous of everyone's paint jobs.

It is supposed to be a replica of my '34 Chevy.

I am going to be watching this as I was planning something similar for my '41 as well.

They are a neat little race car.

I was looking in all the wrong places. Who'd a thunk it was an Alfa?

Fellow model Mark Hook (mchook) has kindly agreed to measure up his Manly wrecking crane for me so that I can come up with something more plausible than the kit item. Meanwhile, the truck has been parked in the back of the engine shop, awaiting the installation of the rear bed and the crane.

The splash apron taking shape. The floor I am using is slightly smaller than the body opening. I added strips to make it sit in there tighter. I also added temporary stops to help locate it while I add tho the ends to fill the cavities.

One looks more like a Ford 8N.........And after checking it out on the web it appears to be a later version of the grey one. Looks like it was built right up into the late 50's.

I suppose it isn't that bad. Regular basic AMT kits are about $36 at Michaels.

And on the front splash apron.

Working at shaping a dashboard out of some styrene sheet.

That translates to $46 CAD.

I'm sure someone will attempt it.
