  1. Also from my junk pile. I looked at Cadillac engines on the internet and there is nothing close. Is this like the 58 Plymouth, a generic engine?
  2. Lovely. great scratchbuilding. I don't know if you knew, but these things actually existed,
  3. Who pays that much for a model?
  4. 55-57 what? Chevies?
  5. And to think I had bid on an Orange Crate motor but quit when it got out of hand. And I had one all along. Go figure.
  6. Very nice. Are the white "sleeves" on the plug wires paint?
  7. Thanks guys.
  8. I have this engine in my junkpile. It is molded in yellow. What makes it interesting is the amount of detail it has in the heads, cylinder bores and bottom end. It'll get cleaned up and wind up in the dio. It would be nice to know what it is. Does it ring a bell with anyone?
  9. They go down to 1/64.
  10. Working on detailing the firewall. The paint touch-ups didn't hide the mistakes completely, but it'll have to do. Started with the clear.
  11. This assortment of pen caps, buttons etc. will become an electric cable hoist.
  12. You're right, it has that subdued yet classy look. Great save.
  13. Had a blast trying out my new mini lathe.
  14. Started on a wall/floor mounted jib crane.I think the girder was part of a trailer kit . It will reach all the machines Used my new mini lathe to bore holes in a rod that will become part of the cable hoist carrier.
  15. So I gather from all this that it is not representative of a 58 Plymouth engine. Ah well,,,
  16. I've looked all over the internet to try and determine which engine is in this kit. My best guess is a 318. the 350 had dual fours.
  17. FTB has completed another job, this time a 1958 Plymouth engine.
  18. We have paint. Once again, I was too hasty. should have waited longer to mask the white. Some of it peeled off with the masking tape. I'll try touch ups as I don't feel like stripping and starting again.
  19. I never tire of looking at your work. It is inspiring.
  20. Black wash Carl.
  21. Humbly? That combination has actually crossed my mind. However I am currently toying with red pearl over white pearl.
