Any ideas?

I have a Duesenberg town car . I'd like to use the body to make a sedan out of something. So it has to be rebodied. How about a Duesenberg roadster by Henley or a sleek Bugatti T-50ish coupe?

Manifolds are pretty well done. Fuel pump too. And the beginning of what is supposed to pass for an oil bath air cleaner. -

Thank you guys for all the good comments. Added the the exhaust manifold. Starting to take shape. This is an intricate shape to replicate. Hopefully it should be recognizable. -

Had to go back to the truck and take measurements and make more sketches of the manifolds. As you can tell, I never won a drafting prize. Started on the manifolds. -
It is the only side-on image I could find. It should be close to what a 1:25 Gremlin would be. Anyway, it is only speculation at this stage. I was just hoping to reproduce the car I once own. Thanks for all the advice. It may be well beyond my scope, skills, willingness, needs and a few other things.

Start by googling The Ford Motor Company. On their site there should be a section on history. If you can contact that section, stsrt there. If you can't, look for any way to contact the public relations group of the company. Let us know how you made out. Another place would be the Henry Ford museum. they may have archives.

Following up on a topic by George Yoke (Lizard Racing) where he built his first car, a '74 Gremlin, we determined that one could build a '73 using the '72 resin body. The biggest hangup would be the stripes which were unique to the '73. I found this neat side-on image of a '73 X. If we could somehow turn the stripe from red to gold, I could resize it in Word and print a decal. But how to change the color? Photoshop?

landman replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Took my '34 out for a spin this morning and saw this:a Dart GTS, a '71 'Cuda and a GT350H. the fellow taking a picture of my car was taking them from the East Coast to a collector in Alberta. -

Started stringing wire. Selected a suitable belt/pulley assembly, removed the belts and started aligning the pulleys . -
I love what George did to replicate his first car. Mine was a '73 X with 304 & stick too. What should I use to do one? I see there is a '72 available.

Beautiful rendition of a beautiful car. Looks like you have a nice property as well.

Added the coil & oil filter, compressor mount and some paint. Have to address the bottom rim of the oil filter. It didn't look anywhere near that rough to the naked eye. Next big challenge, the manifolds. -
