  1. If you are duplicating that hot rod, you'll need to use a bell housing to fit whatever transmission you'll be using. In my case it will be a 5-speed GMC truck transmission.
  2. First try at a generator. Second try with a few mods. Tried the masking tape method for the belts. it will work but they'll have to be narrower. Three belts, one for the generator and two for the air compressor. Started on the third set of exhaust manifolds. This time with 2.5 mm stock. this should be more accurate.
  3. Reached a mutually agreeable shipping agreement on the eBay item.
  4. Speaking of Duesenbergs, I have three. I was thinking of using what is left of the Packard Speedster on a Duesenberg chassis.
  5. Thanks Terry, I found an old thread that says the W-900 and T-600 kits have them. Would this be the one? I also found the 5/4 = engine combo on eBay but the guy wants $35 for shipping only. I think I can get the model above plus shipping for less.
  6. I am currently putting together what I hope will be a reasonable representation of a GMC 702 to put in a hopefully equally reasonable representation of the truck pictured below. These trucks, or at least the ones I knew had a 5/4 transmission set up giving 20 forward speeds. I believe the 4 speed was used to split the ratios of the 5 speed. What do you guys suggest I use for this? Or is that going to have to be scratch built too? I don't remember seeing those in the various after market suppliers sites.
  7. I built this one around 1981. It has opening doors. If I remember well, the front bumper was hard to get on straight.
  8. Tried turning some three groove pulleys with a drill press and a hobby knife. Someone should buy me a mini lathe. Installed the pulleys and the generator bracket.
  9. Update on post#36. The green one now looks like this.
  10. That should read "fuel" pump.
  11. Made another water pump as the first one was too big. Worked on the generator support casting.
  12. How did you make your valve covers? They look more like 702's than mine which are narrowed 409's.
  13. I have yet to see Spaz Stix in Canada. Does anyone know whether it is available?
  14. My brother in law's second truck was a 4300 in almost the same paint scheme. It had a 525 in it. His first one had been a 4200 with a v8. A 403,is that possible?
  15. And I think your valve covers are tight on.Made from flat stock & shaped. I meant right on.
  16. Coming along nicely,Donovan. What are you using? It almost looks like nailhead engines.
  17. I thought you had other "stuff" to do.
  18. Wow, now I'm flattered.Thank you,Sir.
  19. Y By all means. The more, the merrier. We all can use additional ideas. I am especially curious as hoe you made the exhaust manifolds.
  20. Thank you, Bob, Lee,Carl,Ray,Ben,Joe,Wayne,Dan,Skip and Eric. Eric, your tongue in cheek suggestions were well worth it, I think it looks quite dashing. As for your question, it was very timely as the next one has just arrived in the shop. However the workload precludes starting on it right away. Thanks for asking.
  21. Here's my rendition of the Revell 95 Dodge:
  22. Skip,it actually is a piece of #11 blade packaging. And you are correct,it definitely is lacking in clarity.
  23. Here you go Ben. Added a front view as well.
  24. Had a nice surprise today. Some photos of the actual B-7000 I knew early in my career. The photos were taken in 1964, 6 years before my time. It was orange with a blue logo. Later it became yellow with white doors withy a blue and black logo. Boy this brings back memories.
