  1. I'll try and get some, the top is glued on.
  2. Front casting is taking shape. Also made up a fuel pump out of scrap bits.
  3. This is the first one of a lifetime supply. I was supposed to maybe repaint it and glue it back together. Well..... it was a major but fun undertaking, something like Joe Shaw's bother's Challenger, although not in the same class of workmanship. It morphed into a roadster from a cabriolet along the way. Hope you like it. The first photo is what I started with. The WIP is here http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=101283&page=1
  4. You mean tea and crumpets.
  5. I had trouble visualizing the front of the water pump casting from the angled view in the exploded diagram so I asked for an end on picture from Thunder V12 which they provided. I then reduced it to the size needed and cut out a base from sheet styrene. Then using bits I found the other day, I set out making the shape of the casting. The cover in the third photo will serve to make the bottom part.
  6. Almost there. I'm missing the handles for the golf compartment doors. Still need to install the top irons, rumble seat steps and find a place for at least one horn.
  7. Easy with 1/64th tape...
  8. Repaired the front bumper bracket which was broken in three pieces and the bumper itself which was broken in two. Assembled the rumble seat BMF'd the hood hinge and applied the pinstripe.
  9. My Dodge truck is a Snap.
  10. Fantastic fabrication and detailing as well as very subtle but realistic weathering. It deserves all it got. A pleasure to look at.
  11. Installed a new shifter out of a bag of shifters I bought at Michael's. One of the rumble seat armrest cushions had disappeared so I shaped one out of styrene. Painted the "hidem" molding I had added to the roof. Keeping things in the hobby, made a windshield out of a #11 blade package.
  12. This. Looks like I overpaid. About two hours after receiving it I get one of those eBay notices "Are you still looking...." and there they are half the price I paid. Go figure.
  13. Thanks Brett, the second one is the one I was looking for.
  14. It wasn't that one Bill. He did refer to it though.
  15. A few days ago I was reading a thread about creating what-ifs with Photoshop, Corel draw and so on. The gentleman is a designer himself and was referring to others (Palatnik, PalaniK?) and showing some of their stuff. I thought I'd get back at it later, but now I can't find it. No amount of searching helped. Maybe it'll ring a bell for someboidy.
  16. Brayden: yes it will be curbside with the hood glued in place. I bid on a partially built one on eBay but didn't get it. I was planning on using the engine from that.
  17. Added the "wood" to the dash & door tops. Painted the silver. Not happy with it but it'll have to do. Hopefully the rest of the car will draw the attention away.
  18. Some Keith Marks decals for these two.
  19. Thanks guys, it was a fun build. Next one for the shop will be a flatbed/stake truck to haul the really big motors or several at a time.
  20. Some cars have their sidemounts fully covered with Leatherette or canvas. You can't see the wheel.
  21. The car is astounding! But...that workspace, I don't know. Please spill something on that cutting mat.
  22. A SnapFast kit. The pickup & delivery truck for the shop in my diorama.
  23. FTB has decided to offer pickup & delivery of the engines it rebuilds. So the boss found a 20 year old Dodge, gave it a paint job in the company colors, stuck his logo on the doors and voilĂ !
  24. Now THAT is a good idea, rather than having a 64 page book with three pages in each language.
  25. A Ram 3500 and some watch parts. The truck will become the delivery truck for FTB (Flatheads to Boxers) , the engine rebuilder in my diorama. The watch parts are to detail the engines. The ones I was going to use for flywheels are a bit small. There was a batch of larger ones on eBay. I may get them too.
