  1. Richard, that is gorgeous! I've been thinking to do something like this for a while and this is great inspiration! Lucas.
  2. Took my 1:8 nitro powered RC car for a spin, or at least I thought. Ran for about 2 minutes and suddenly stopped. Went home to pull the engine out, and a good clean. When I started disassembling the front suspension, I noticed that all of the screws are different (hex, philips, torx). I haven't cleaned it since I bought it a couple of weeks ago, so I dove in and found out that all the screws in the metal parts were stripped from thread, making it impossible to get them out since they're flush. I still have to get the engine out and cleaned, but I'm kinda afraid of what I'll discover in there. Some people need a high five, in the face, with a chair...
  3. You would be suprised with the stuff some people roll into campsites with over here
  4. Aww man... but seriously though, that parking space is kind of genius! Most of the camping spots on here don't have too much parking space on site, and with this you just drive under your RV. Guess the neighbours will give you strange looks when you open your 'garage'.
  5. Does it have a helipad on the roof? If not, I'll pass ?
  6. I've build this kit, goes together without a hitch. The only problem was that the hood didn't fit right after painting, might want to check the fit before to see if you need to remove some material. Lucas.
  7. My most fun drive was when I went on holiday to Bavaria. Long, winding roads without another car in sight. My destination was a small (and I mean 'blink and you miss it' small) village in the hills. I have a soft spot for the roads in that area. Lucas.
  8. I personally like the type of cars that have been modified to some degree. Enough to notice something is different, but you just can't figure out what had been changed. For me, that's as good as it gets with real cars. I've seen dozens of cars with hideous spoilers, bodykits and what not, but I like the 'Less is more' approach more than the in-your-face mods. Lucas.
  9. Figuree I's upload some pictures of the thing. After paint: Put a cage in front and some bars on the underside: And a pic with the F150 in front
  10. I'll look into those, thanks! I've seen the testors ones, but they're asking crazy money for them in Europe. Lucas.
  11. Hi guys. I recently bought a car trailer in 1:24th scale at a yard sale, made by Maisto. With a bit of work it made a pretty nice trailer. I'm looking for a couple more. Does anyone have an idea which ones will suit? I just need the frame, wheels and ramps. Info on which brands I need to look for is very welcome. Thanks, Lucas.
  12. Stood on the scale, and I lost 7 pounds since two weeks ago, guess walking for about 2 to 4 hours every evening works
  13. A good morning to you too! At least, it means that I have more time for building
  14. I have the day off today, so I thought I could sleep a litle longer. Well, nope, I woke up at 6AM and couldn't get back to sleep...
  15. For the round ones, I would use a couple of rubber rings in the appropriate size, and use some sort of thin paper for the filter part.
  16. I usually check 1999.co.jp for what's in the box and to take a quick peek at the manual. I believe they only offer this for Japanese kits though. Only thing you have to do is to put the product number in the search box.
  17. Probably gonna put the front wheels in the air if someone got in the back ?
  18. That is beautiful Harry! Looks like the real deal!
  19. I really like that T1 in the first post, but the yellow beetle... I probably wouldn't be able to squeeze myself in there ?, or if I could, I probably can't get out without some help from someone with a grinder...
  20. Yesterday at work one of the clients slammed the car door on my wrist, not on purpose but she wasn't paying attention. Left me with a bruised wrist...
  21. Finally recieved the parts I needed to fix my car, took 3 weeks to get them...
  22. If anyone's interested: There's one for sale in Germany now: http://www.ebay.de/itm/1986-Zimmer-Quicksilver-Sehr-Seltenes-Samlerstuck-/331487307830?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_77&hash=item4d2e2ee836
  23. Ok guys, just to let you know. I've been asked to build a model for the kid that I look after, his birthday is next month. I'll be working on that one too, so progress on this will be slower, especially since work is taking up most of my time at the moment. I'm not quitting on this, will continue posting updates, but his birthday present has priority for me now. Last but not least, Thank you guys for the great comments! As stated, this is the first time I have cut out doors and boot on one of my models, so your reactions are a boost for me! Lucas.
