  1. Nice work! I think you'll be quite pleased with it when it's finished.
  2. Looks great! I like the re purposed taillights. Good call on the red!
  3. I'm diggin' it! Love the taillight idea! Gonna keep watching this build.
  4. Love the hot rod, especially the cool taillights! I agree with Tom, we should start a "models by geezers" club!
  5. Good looking car! Like the big motor and the choice of wheels.
  6. Wow! Your detail blows me away! There is so much to look at....everywhere! Definitely well done!! Congrats!
  7. Beautifully done as usual Harry!
  8. Nicely done! Even down to the wiper marks on the windshield!
  9. Welcome to the forum Jim! The engine looks VERY nice from here!
  10. You're doing a great job on this gasser! I'm joining the peanut gallery to watch this get built.
  11. What can I say that hasn't already been said? Truly sorry to hear this. This is a great place to feel like family, and we are all concerned. I think you should let your family know what's going on. Hang in there brother!
  12. So sorry for your loss Ray. Prayers for you and family.
  13. I shipped a model to a contest years ago, and when I received it back, it was in perfect condition! I was instructed to first wrap toilet tissue around the model from side to side, then from front to back ( both numerous times). Then place the model into a suitable sized box surrounded by "peanuts" . Then pack THAT box into a larger box surrounded by more "peanuts". Secure the openings of the box with lots of tape and address the outer box (with the return address), and mark it fragile on ALL sides. I sent it using Fed Ex or Purulator rather than using the postal service. Maybe I was one of the lucky ones that the model was not damaged. Not only did it cross the border (customs), but the person(s) at the contest site handled it with the utmost care and repacked it as I had done. No damage! Shout out to Mark Gustavson and his volunteers in 1991!!
  14. Looks great! Man, those cars were huge!
  15. Very nice looking indeed! Well done!
  16. Yeah, I'm bummed out. I wanted to enter it into a contest, but enough damage to it has made me withdraw my plan. I'm putting it back together, but I think it'll go into the display case and not to the contest.
